Speaking of hats..... I just went by yesterday and picked up a sample hat and ordered 10 hats in two different colors. I will get some pictures posted when they are done

I picked up the first batch of hats in a olive and tan mesh. I also have some oil tanned looking ones with light stitching being made as well.

This truck is getting a little work here and there in preparation for its its trip to RI in a few weeks for Worlds. I have pulled out the universals and did some more relief work to gain more smooth steering range.

While a Great option offered by Erik, for those that want to buy modded or don't have the means to mod..
I my self, like to mod them myself. As do some others. Saving some money and self satisfaction leads to more enjoyment, for me.

The inspiration for the upcoming changes came from this truck. I built this truck for a local guy who decided that he wanted to sell it. I was looking over the truck the evening that he brought it by and was comparing the steering setup. I learned on my truck and told him what NOT to do and his turned out better than mine. I was look at the differences and with the trip coming I decided to do some work on my own truck.

My truck had some Xr10 knuckles (they were labeled as Wraith when I ordered them) and they have caused issues with throw. I yanked them off! The steering BTA link used the XR arms and acts as a limiter of sorts.

I have mounted up some VP Wraith knuckles and I am working with the drag link and arm. I have done a little Dremel action and still the arm hits the servo mount just a bit. I have decided that I will draw up a slightly shorter arm to give me a touch more room and a bit more throw

The olive with the mesh is real nice B. Not a fan of the solid one. Ideally I'd dig a flex fit but I can't shell out the loot for one this month. Olive is a home run! Matter of fact, last time I was down the shore, I had a ocean city logo put on the same " aged style" mesh back. One of my favorite lids.

Well....... The solid tan was a free sample to show the logo and make sure I liked it. I have one more color being done and should be ready next week.

After some playing with several different setups I have one that I think will work. I took it out to the playground for some testing on the rocks. I took some quick video..... Enjoy

This is what I have now after all the changes..... I had to do a new BTA steering link, new steering arms, and a longer drag link. I now have equal throw in both directions and steering stops on left and right.

What is different with the steering arms? I can't see them from the pics. Do show, do show.
