Default BmachineRC EVO 2.2S

I finally switched over to an axial based 2.2S rig. The Losi served me well and I had a lot of fun with it, BUT I am stoked about my new build.

BDN has been running this chassis for quite some time and it has been tried and true. I have crawled with BDN for awhile now and this chassis has continued to impress me with a well rounded crawling platform.

Okay on to the goodies

CHASSIS
BmachineRC EVO 2.2S

AXLES
AR60 Narrowed .750" and Shaved .200"
F1 Spool rear, VP spool front
Underdrive, Overdrive
XR10 knuckles
RC Bros Knuckle weights
Rowdy Racing AR60 Trusses

ALL THE OTHER STUFF
BR Mini
Apocalypse 25T
Wraith tranny
Futaba servo
RC Bros shocks
VP SSZ wheels
Voodoo Silvers narrowed 2 rows & Golds
5.5 CCI foams soft outers
Wild boar shafts
Ytown AR60 upper link mount x2
7075 suspension/steering links/standoffs
Plastic hubs in rear
Scale hardware
Aluminum hardware throughout

Last but not least I have a sweet lid being painted for this build by
Crawllife

ON TO THE PICS

Picked the chassis up last week and the machining on it was top notch as always.

The skid plate and the cross braces are a work of art!

Getting things mocked up

Now for the axles.....it took a little bit of time, but in the end I think it was well worth it

Thats all for tonight. I will update more tomorrow

Looking great Derrick. I just might have to see about picking up one of the EVO's for myself.

And about the build, I like that front cross brace. Nice build.

Good looking parts right there. It's a shame you have to mount a trans to that skid.

Looks pretty good!

On those diffs, how much clearance do you gain?

They're shaving off .2" but then adding back the CF or Al skids...

You gain roughly .140" but sometimes that's all that's needed to keep you from getting hung up or knocked off your line

You can't hide money.......

What I saw looked really sweet Derrick. Nice work. You'd better make sure it can power out of a deep dark tight space without severe damage....that's the key.

Thanks man! Its a very simple and straight forward build. The chassis is very light and rigid. I got it together and without any tuning at all I was very happy with it.

Do you gain any more clearance doing the shave on those axles over the AX10 housings?

Yes you do! I can get some measurements for comparison

A way to know for sure is that they both use the same ring gear so with that being said I had to shave my ring gear down b/c it was hanging out of the bottom of the case.
