Got a chance to get a little more work done today. I got all my links finished and mounted the rear link plate to the dlux truss, installed the motor and trans and mocked up some a tie rod. When I installed some drive shafts I noticed the rear one was peaking out of the links I can't have that so I'll lengthen the uppers or shorten the lowers depending on wheel base dimensions right now as it sits it at 12 7/16 of an inch.

Got to see this rig in person yesterday and it's very cool.

Some well engineered parts cut, drilled, sanded, and slightly re-engineered by Chris in his "laboratory" (pronounced 'lab-oor-ah-tou-ree' followed by a strange, dark laugh).

Great job melting so many variations of current hot-ticket items into one "robo-sportsman".

I assured Chris it wouldn't be enough to beat me next season (cuz I'll cheat).

He was not amused......

The Dlux custom knuckles are awesome in so many ways, but the only down fall for my particular knuckle setup is 0 Ackerman steering seemed out of reach... or so I thought. After some looking I decided to see just how far out of reach 0 Ackerman would be so step one was to shave the ribs out of some DE wheels. It is hard to tell but I cut them down and trimmed them back to clear the knuckle.



After sliding the wheel on I noticed the wheel wasn't touching the steering arm at all. Only issue is that the tire barely clears the rod end.

Put the tie rod under the arms. Then if you really want to you could put a slight bend in the middle of it to keep it up a little higher, but I really don't think it'd be necessary unless it hits the diff cover or something like that.

Good looking build...the DLux knuckles make a huge improvement in driveability of the rig. The servo doesn't have to work as hard as before...and all of the adjustability they offer is really nice.

Like Itty said, rod below and you might be good. Pretty sure thats how I run mine too. Its pretty close to the tire for sure but I wonder how much flex you will get from the tire at that spot? If you were running something like a closed cell inner, I am not sure the tire would flex much at all?

I like the non zero ack arms on my sporty though..... Gives a bit more steering to that outside tire.

I've ran a rig that was outside 0 ack where the inside tire was the one that steered further and liked that, it seemed to track better.

I've been playing with the steering on this rig for a couple of days now trying different things and searching for the best set up I could possibly fabricate. Another thing I changed was I switched out my AX10 chubs for wraith chubs. I had to modify them for what I truly wanted by shaving them down a bit to fit inside my knuckles without needing the spacer plates.

I'm finally done mocking this rig up and can concentrate on where and how I'm going to mount my electronics and battery.

The TurboTech Prodigy chassis is a dream to work with making the simple adjustments to the shock arms couldn't be easier with the tubing instead of nuts.:thumbup: This chassis is almost ready for its time to shine on the rocks.

Dlux knuckles are the only way I will roll on my rigs from here on out. With a the adjustments and possibilities this product offers and how it allows you to change your setup with parts most of us have on hand. I can't tell you how awesome they really are, you just will have to get some for yourself and find out.

Both Dluxfab and TurboTech have given me awesome service and support. I thank you guys for helping me along the way.

Axial bent ends 12* I think
