Thanks Jim I'm still working on lowering the battery and electronics, it might only be by 3mm

Even though it's a little wet at the park down the street I had to give this rig a test run.










I did notice that my front shocks are loading when driving forward. I'm not sure if this is a bad issue or not so I'll let it be for now.




The rig side hills rather well and is ultra stable on a down hill. It is turning up hill excellent and was showing no signs of weird unloading on steep climbs like I have experienced in the past with my other rig.





The only issue I noticed is I seem to be getting high centered on the front of the skid so more ground clearance is needed. It should be easy to do by lowering my shock arms in the front one hole. The rig sits at 70mm at front of skid on a table but I'd bet with the front suspension loading as it drives I've lost at least 5mm.

Awesome Chris, I'm jealous you went driving today.

Maybe your front uppers need to go up a hole in the chassis to reduce the squatting? Not sure what's up there.

Glad to hear the rig finally got some dirt on the tires.

It's been a long slow build, and it's about darn time!

Don't be to jealous traction sucked and the mud made it difficult to get on the rocks but it was worth it in the end.

Kevin and I were asked to represent EPA at Motorama this week end. We spent all of 10 hrs doing the best we could to get a Tri axle load of rock snow and mud shaped into something to crawl on. After all was said in done my rig was pretty dirty.







Actually it's pretty clean compared to Kevin ' s rig and my berg which we put in the hands of the spectators, mainly kids which thought it was a blast to plow through the mud.

My rig preformed awesome yesterday and I only found a few things I need to change. One is my electronics tray that hangs down to low below the links and the other is the ride height which seems low but that could have just been the jagged rocks I was driving on.

Arc'teryx on arguably the trickiest line in the building.

Well it's been a while since I have posted an update. First thing I did was swap out my lowers from 3/16 aluminum tubing I get from the hobby shop to 3/16 Ti I got from Dlux. I also installed some of his body mounts.



I finalized my electronics placement.




I mounted a beetle body to figure placement of the body mounts and comp cut before I get my good body from Crawllife.

Erik suggested checking out adding 4° of chamber. I made the change which was easily done using 8° chubs i already had and leaning the top of the tire in 4°.



After a very long wait to drive this rig I finally got a chance. So I headed out to Sam Lewis.

















Today driving the rig on known rock told me the was was working. I noticed it was turning very well up hill and down. When turning up on a side hill was that the inside tire would lift slightly and the outside tire planted rather flat on the ground and didn't seem to roll under too bad.

Where'd you source those washer head screws that you use for mounting your servo?

The screws looks like some Traxxas ones. Atleast those are the screws I use to mount servos.

3932 - 6 mm long
4859 - 10 mm long
3646 - 15 mm long
