Default Boxer Build 2014 Sporty

Found this new Boxer chassis in my mailbox the other day. The Boxer is ClassiCutCustoms stab at s 2.2 Shafty chassis. It's made of carbon fiber with a milled delrin skid. Comes with all the cross braces and stainless hardware you need. It's super trick and light. Really dig the milling on the skid. Thanks Barry you did a great job on this one.

Chassis with the optional XR steering parts.

Skid plate is drilled for an AX10 / SCX10 transmission. It is milled out for light weight.

Lateral supports made to clear the stock Axial trans.

More to come...

Lots of progress last night. Photos shortly.

Servo / upper link / electronics mounting plates.
The servo / upper link plate comes with the holes to mount directly to the axle housing. There are three positions for the upper links to mount. You will need to drill your servo post mounting holes based on your needs. The electronics plate is separate so it is optional to use. If you use it you'll need to find the pacers that work best for your set up. I ended up used some 1/2" spacers I had in my tool box.

Installed Chocker Collars front and rear, put some Mod Tubes in the rear. Mod Tubes and Chocker Collars sold separately.

For Chocker Collar and Mod Tube install click here.

All I need is to mount the electronics and put the tranny in. Feels super good I'm excited.

Steering stop or limiter may be needed?

I had to with mine, so the outside tire wouldn't fold in and bind the uni's..

Yep, that's a poser shot for sure. I would assume I'll be limiting the steering to some degree.

I ran the Boxer yesterday and I got to say is it rocks! No practice, no tuning prior to the comp just plugged in the batter a went and went it did. Took third for the day. The rig was worthy of first. A little tuning and it's going to be hard to beat.

Changed out the giant HR SCX10 motor plate for a smaller lighter heat sink version.
