It's 1/32" Teflon. I machined the delrin skid down 1/32", then mated the Teflon with it. I gained the super slickness of the Teflon, without losing any clearance.

The smash skid that I sent to you has Teflon on it. You will love it

It's the same skid I ran for a while. It's scratched, but still slippery as hell.

I installed the updated skid, and trans housing this weekend. I am still loving this trans! It spins so smooth and is so solid. Super light weight too. Andddd... Practically indestructible A++++ on this one ClassiCut

Wow dare I ask how you mounted the Teflon? Its slick stuff but also soft as heck I still need to see what would work better, Teflon sheet or a Delrin AF skid for my stuff

Some super secret super fancy AKA Tire glue

Both skid and Teflon were roughed up, then glued together. Best way? Probably not, but I have never had any bonding issues with it before.

Man you got that right. I have pounded on this thing. 4s and HH power and it just wants more. Great product from the CCC layer.

I can't agree more. I have beat on mine, and have had zero issues. I have many plans for this trans.. I feel that it can be applied to any shaft driven rig with great success

NMRCC held it's 7th comp of the season yesterday. I did pretty good. The location was new to the club, and turned out to be very challenging to set up courses. Sporty courses especially.

The rig did great thou. The Teflon skid was awesome! I had a VERY clear advantage over everyone else when it came to sliding over things. The new bit of link geometry change seemed helpful as well.

I wasn't concentrated on course two, and that's what blew my chance of getting 1st.. O well, I still have a very commanding lead on the season.

Congrats to All24. He was the only one to finish all three courses on the day.

I have a whole pile of parts sitting here for the front axle.. I just didn't have time. We have another comp this upcoming weekend, and a scale event as well.. So idk if I will have time to get it done this week either. These dlux knuckles and rcbros tubes look so lonely sitting there...

Another comp this past Sunday. The rig did great! The chassis is performing flawlessly. It is very point and shoot. The Teflon on the skid is amazing, and showing zero wear. And lastly the CCC trans. Every time it get out to run it I love it more. It is just so smooth. Combine this trans and the 400 puller and it becomes a torque monster! Stupid torque.. I tell ya!

Here are the scores. It was a rough comp, being that We had freezing rain for our first two courses.. Tires got just a bit muddy. ( by that I mean they were completely packed with no tread showing) but with a bit of wheel speed the tires still worked good.

Still have the front axle to do.. Just have been too busy with life and other things.
