Comp #10 today for NMRCC. And I got a comp sweep.. Again! The rigs are performing wonderfully. The new link positions on the boxer were good. First course I had my shocks too preloaded, so that kinda jacked me up. I unloaded them and moved the rear uppers down a hole. After that the rig felt very solid. Everything about the rig worked perfect. The new front axle setup was very nice. Non 8* worked beautifully.

Here are the scores..

No one got any pics or video.. But I snagged a few when I got home..

I decided to just go with the base brass knuckle.

You can kinda see my link positions at the chassis. I am all the way at the top in front, and one hole down from the top in the rear.

And lastly the awesome Notch8 shock collars. These little things are awesome. Very nice fit on the threads, better than stock collars. And they look amazing. The blue turned out perfect. Highly reccomended

We had a comp back on the 12th. One of the best spots here in New Mexico. Awesome place, and we all had a great time.

The rig did great. Everything is just "clicking" with it. Point and shoot and I love it. Thanks to all my awesome sponsors who have made this rig possible. I had a painted body sitting in my closet, so if inured I would finally use it. Turned out really nice on the rig. Flipping back over is sooo much easier now. The front tires just catch without problem and it shoots back to all four. Just made the rig a little bit better..

I managed to pull off a first place finish again. I just love this rig..

Here are some pics..

What's your weight bias?

I've found that it seems to be a big factor for recovery.

Mine did much better before with the beef tubes and knuckle weights at maybe 61/39.

Now with the AR60 and no beef tubes, I'm only about 59/41 and it doesn't seem to recover as well.

Made some other changes during the install of the AR60, so I'm trying to narrow down the cause.

Very curious...

That location looks awesome... How the traction? or it is dusty?

I will have to check it out because I am not sure. Obviously my bias didn't change with the new body, but I see where you are going. I think what it is, is this: when on its lid, more of the front tires are touching the ground, so when I throttle it, it bites immediately. I will throw it on the scale and post up my findings.

Agree with that.

I didn't change the body, but the recovery is less, by swapping axles.

Also changed shocks, so I can't point the finger for sure.

I do have my suspicions.

That's exactly why I asked about the bias.

It's my first suspect.

My weight bias turned out to be pretty close to what I was expecting. It is at 64.8/35.2 so basically 65/35. I am pretty happy with this. Performs great like this

Thank you for checking that.

I figured bias was my problem, this helps confirm that.

Thanks again for you help on the bias question.

Fixed my problem, and my rig did very well at the comp today.

#2 and #3 courses were tricky, but the #1 course.....ugly....recovery was critical, and it paid off big time.

Back from the AZ Shootout. What a great time it was. Great people, great vibe, great location, great courses, great time overall. Again, thanks to all who helped make the event possible. Thanks to all the course builders and judges. And thanks to Scomck5, MAHitt63, and All24 for spotting for me all weekend long.

The courses had very good variety. No two courses were alike. I am very happy with my overall 6th place finish. As I think back, I remember places I could had done better on.. But Owell, that is the past and I can't do anything about it. I am still happy with the results.

Here are the scores:

Unfortunately since all of the NMRCC crew was running sporty, no one was able to get pics.. So I don't think there is any floating around. Sorry, just enjoy the 100 or so in my pro thread.

Here is a link to the NMRCC photo thread from the pro day:

Two weeks ago we had out last comp of the season. The comp was very fun. All three courses were different. They each had their own features that made them fun. And, to add to the fun, I was able to pull off two perfect courses

Last course was pretty easy as long as you had good throttle control. Second course was fun, but had it's challenges. Lots of ledges and skid grabbers.. Bit difficult but was able to pull a -18 out of it. And the first course.. It was a course with two bonuses that you could hit at any time, multiple times.. Luckily, I was able to get all the bonuses, clean the course, and still have :25seconds left or so.. But, the puller 400 was feeling a bit slow. Good speed, but not enough IMO.. So I called in a favor, but more on that later

This season has been awesome. This rig just amazes me how it does. It fits me very well. A couple other people have driven it and have not liked it much at all.. But I like it.. I love it! I damn near had a perfect season as far as comps go.. We had 11 comps this season, I was able to get 1st place at 10 of those I have to say thank you to all my sponsors who made this possible, and helped me along the way! I wouldn't be anywhere without you guys!!

Here were the scores:
