Ok, the roller is done - lower links are made from Ti, the upper links are made of CF:

http://www.rccrawler.at/board/index....chmentID=15376

And the overall weight of the roller incl. the servo:

968g are about 2.13lb - not bad i think "thumbsup"

Are you planning to run the servo without the bottom case like that?

Front upper link geometry looks a little crazy. Seems like simply driving forward will squat the chassis down until the shocks bottom out.

Good progress, otherwise.

Hi,

I am not convinced… if you add the weight of various of missing elements : motor 300g (10.5oz) + liPo 100g (3.5oz) + ESC + Bec 150g (5.3oz) + body 100g (3.5oz) + paint for body 30g (1 oz) + wire 80g (2.8oz) + and what I forget 50g (1.8oz) = 1780g (3lbr 14.8oz). it's largely more than the 3lbs envisaged  You will have to stop… :flipoff:

F***ing nice work!!

You need to check your weight estimates, Steph! Motor is max 175g, lipo is 50g, ESC and BEC are probably much less than 150g etc.

Re: Gerry´s SuDu One FL - CF Axle <3lb Shafty

Couldn't agree more Tomi
My puller 500 is only 4.3oz no where near 10.5
Battery 2oz
Esc/bec 2.5oz with wire
Body 1oz
9oz is what I see being added plus whatever knuckle weight
Which I don't see much being needed on this amazing rig

So yes it will be over 3lbs but who care what he did here is just awesome

Re: Gerry´s SuDu One FL - CF Axle <3lb Shafty

Nah, I can still see this coming in at just under 3 lbs even with an ounce each side for knuckle weights. Time will tell.

Re: Gerry´s SuDu One FL - CF Axle <3lb Shafty

It´s happened! The roller is now full electrified and RTR 8)

http://www.rccrawler.at/board/index....chmentID=15398

And now, let us check the weight from the RTR rig:

http://www.rccrawler.at/board/index....chmentID=15395

http://www.rccrawler.at/board/index....chmentID=15396

I would say - goal reached "thumbsup"

But for sure, if i add some knuckleweights (and i´m sure i would) - maybe i´m over the 3lb - but that´s not important any more "thumbsup"

I hope i can test tomorrow the Shafty, if all will work fine i will shorten the wires and will post up some pics of all the details!
In the front i have to use a bit longer shocks, then also the upper front links will fit how the should "thumbsup"

I´m so happy!

@ Tomy, chevotafun and Oz Bruiser
I had hoped that the nonsense of the weights that I announced (like 30g - 1 oz for paint for body or 80g - 2.8oz for wire), would be understood like humor.
But irony of my post to disappearing with Google translation ;-) Promised, I did not try any more to make humor :flipoff:

I think that rig is to light for the 2.2S Class. You have to start at 1.9:mrgreen:

...but normally it's not a to bad work on these;-)

Hope to see you soon on the rocks"thumbsup"
