Everything fits well, with a little shim at the knuckle the play (is this the right word?) is minimal.
First I wanna say this build looks great! These are amazing parts and pictures!

I put a hole in the top side of the axle housing just above the pinion. That way the upper link mount and battery plate cover it up.

I tried running loktite and having the screws not all the way tight, and one of them backed out after a few weeks. It completely locked up the front end.

And be sure to add extra screws on those burly tubes to keep them from spinning in the housings.

So last week I finished the CFRP links...

@sourdojack
Those screws for the splined tubes are already installed. I will try to use the locker as spool. At the rear I also have problems, the shafts won't fit to the VP Locker, to short to use the screws...

What rear axles are you using? Xr short side? I found them to be shorter then my liking as well. I run 2 long side xr axle shafts..

The ubbertubes are a pretty smooth setup! I think I may have ti look unto them when it's time for new rear tubes...

You can take the longer shafts and shorten them 5mm. Grind off the collars and extend the flats 5mm further down the axle.

Yeah, I thought about it, but I don't have the possibility to do it. Perhaps I can visit this weekend a friend having a lathe and mill.

sourdojack:

I drilled a hole in the axle housing. But when tightening the shafts with the setscrews, they don't go well. Tried different positions, without some play it won't work fine. Finaly I glued the screws tight to the shafts in the locker, so I can pull out the shafts. Works well.

For the hole I uses a tube wih a M3 screw

I didn't shorten mine at all. They do touch in the center of the spool, but make's a sold rear axle(less slop)..
I used my dremel and made the flat of the tang about 2.5mm further up the shaft.

For me, it keeps side to side slop at zero and the hex pins out of the lockouts. Which is great since I run the Lattice innovations, Shift hubs.

Makes a very free spinning axle.

Yes, both great
What is the actual overall length of the SDI shafts?
