Default s03r3n's AX10 - some modifications

Hello,
I'm on some mods at my AX10. The base is shown here.
Rear track width is actually 195 mm from tire outside to outside and there is no weight added. So I decided to wide the rear axle and get some additional Gramms too. Somewhere in this forum a method is described using long shafts from XR-10 and Wraith lockouts. I got 2 complete shaft sets, alloy lockouts and stock width splined tubes from CreationFab.

This is how it looks now without shafts:

Beside this I made new rear links of original Axial posts and Traxxas 1942 rodends:

Because new bevel gears were necessary, the rear axle got a 43/13 HD set.
In front the 38/13 HDs are already working. Smooth overdrive after years of same gear ratio.

Recently I could install one of the S.D.I. shafts in front.

The other one I shortened too short unfortunately
At the front axle I mounted Hotracing Chubs and a longer servo arm. Here you can see the custom steering.

After one and a half year of standing around, the modifications have been completed now.
The rear shaft were renewed, cutted correctly and installed.

Then I added a new receiver, the Spektrum SR210, on a plate between the upper rear links

And finally I cutted away the side knobs of the HB Rovers. And this is what it looks like now:

Looks good, what chassis is that? Looks torsion in the front.

You're right - the chassis has front torsion without dampers. It's called "RollerCoaster" because of the shape of the vertical plates. They're made of POM as well as the other parts (skid, upper connection beam, axle plates). Here is another overview:

It was designed many years ago by Gerry from Austria. I think he is a member here too.
