Arrow Where are all the affordable wheels?

Is DLUX the only vender offering glue on crawler wheels under 100$? Every set I look at are over 100$

Trying to find a wheel that us GIs can afford to get this crawler off the ground.

Any pointers would help immensely

Are you looking for wheels that you glue the tires to or non-glue beadlock wheels?

glue on - seems to be all I can afford. Would love beadlocks but I think they are going to be too bulky and heavy

Junfaq/GMade and Pro Line make plastic beadlocks.
I've bought most of my quality metal wheels used here on RCC.
You can probably find the old Axial plastic beadlocks here too... just post up a wanted ad.

Cheap, lightweight and adjustable as they come with two sets of hubs. You can run SLW hubs with them to get rid of the pin style OEM hub.

How are these working for everyone? Mainly the bead is what I'm wondering about, have some slw hubs that would go on them.

all good points - think i forgot to say crawler wheel in the first post. Not sure what, if any, offset I will need or want until I get everything together but I would really like to get one that I can change the offset when needed.

We'll see.

Thanks all

You can change ur offset with ur hubs.. have to buy all sizes of VP hubs, huh..

Get a set of "Shift hubs" and have any and every offset available in one purchase. Get em anodized, straight from Lattice innovations, in it choice of color... Send Bc-Brian a pm to find out more about ur new set.;)

You can get yourself into a set of Y Town dubs for less then $100. They are a very nice wheel with two offset options with the spacers alone. They are light, light, light too. Just a bit over 1/2oz. each with aluminum hardware.

Is Y-town still in business? Never returned my emails or messages about a chassis so I figure he was no more.

Most cost effective and probably the cheapest option available are the DE Racing Borrego wheels. They sell for around $6.50 per pair and only need to be modified to use the VP hubs. Anyone with a dremel and hand drill can do the work. You just need a 1/2" drill (step bit works best), a vp hub, a drill bit to pass through the 4-40 holes on the hub to mark the holes on the wheel, and a screw with hex and nut to hold the hub to the wheel while you mark the holes with the small drill bit. Then you remove the hub and drill the holes to the right size...DONE!

They come in black, silver, yellow, and white and they even make sticker disks that can be applied to the face of them for different colors, and even a 3d Carbon Fiber look
