If you are looking for a new chassis, I suggest a Y Town chassis from Del Monte. Send him a PM and he can hook you up.

| Re: Boxer sporty for huskerfan406 I bought a new unused Y-town from someone on face book before I broke my chassis! I don’t think I can get my transmission in there! I had 2 transmissions from Hulkster, I bought them a couple years ago! One is in the broken chassis! Have you seen any with different transmissions? I think the Hamburger from dlux will fit?

I would suggest buying an extra set of chassis plates from barry @ ccc, and doubling up on them. I always have to attempt those risky bonus lines, and ive broken my boxxer in those same places also. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk |

I'm glad you got it going again! As far as Hardcore Crawling, I'm a rank N00B!! I only got back into the Hobby about 2 years ago, after being out since 1994.... I missed the entire rise of Rock Crawling. It's kind of a shame, because back then, I COULD have built some Badass Rig. Anyway, probably TMI. Your Build, and others I've seen, have inspired me to at least try to dig up a used AX10, and build some kind of Shafty Crawler out of it! They LOOK like so much fun! |

Thanks for your comments, rock crawling is definitely still around, it's just smaller groups of guys still doing what we like to do! In my area there's only 5 comp guys but probably 20 that play with the rigs just don't comp, we are hoping to change it, hopefully we can talk these other guys in to it!

I'll be honest (the only way to be!).... Since I've been back, since 2016, my heart has been in Scalers. I'm originally a Model Railroader, and superdetaling comes naturally after 43 years!! However, IF the right deal comes along.... And I want to start like everyone else, sorta, an AX10... Then I want to get into Crawling some! I'm in Tucson, and there's LOTS of great Rocks around here!! (I USED to Crawl 1:1) I honestly think that some challenges would do me good. I'm a Disabled Veteran, an money hasn't rained in for almost a Decade... (OK, THAT'S TMI!!) Anyway, I'll be checking out your Builds, getting ideas. That way, maybe I won't be so far behind, when the opportunity arises! |

@PoormanRC. AR60 axles are a very cost effective base for a sporty build and require far less modification than AX10 axles. |

That's true! I found some SSD AR60s for less than $50, and already have Axial HD 43:13 gears for it.

But you said above that you want to start like every one else with an AX10 base and build from there and now you say you have AR60's any way. |

| Re: Boxer sporty for huskerfan406 Huskerfan, something we used to do back in my pancar days is to protect the outside edge of the chassis by putting a layer of superglue on the edge. It may still be a practice I am not sure. It protects the edge from splitting and getting frayed. Definitely doesn't hurt. |
