| Off-center spur-gear ?
Hi, my long-awaited rig sprang to life, once the juice was added for the first time - what a joy! She made some runs, and once back on the bench for a check up - I noted the Novak 55t was moving like it had a slightly bent shaft. It turned out to be the spur running slightly off center I will be opening the gearbox when I have time again, but it seems like an odd problem to have, the spur installed on the gearbox turns the shafts all nice and easy by hand, so I'm trying to estimate what to expect to be the problem when opening her up. Any thoughts are welcome - thanxs |

1.Spur is out of round. 2. Some have spacers to keep the spur centered so it could be missing or the spur is not installed correctly. 3. Bent shaft. 4. A bad bearing or a bearing not seated fully. 5. Dirt or something in the gears. |

Thanxs, I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer with getting it dirty, while finding the root cause. Cheers |
