The body sits low on the low chassis. The ground clearance is pretty big on it tho.. I'll keep thrashen em, for sure! Which leads to the comp this post Sunday.. Dirt, leaves, water, and sand, everywhere between rocks. Not only did the rig hold it all together the EY do-overs just kept coming back for more! They would get a little coated in sandy grit or dirt and I would just give a blip of throttle to the HH 400 puller and clean them right out.. It was a rushed day or quick moving anyways.. No video... :( We ran the pro course's backwards, minus moving a gate or 2. It was a goooood day out with the GSRCRC guys! Next comp on the 12th with EPArccrawlers. I'll make sure I get video of the next one! | |

Update for EPArccrawlers comp last Sunday.. A awesome day out and about with the guys! Anywho.. Video time! Course one was a tricky course, as some rocks would just let you drift, roll, an flip off.. The EY design's made do-overs held true and pulled thru.. I was 5th to run an the best score was a +6 at this point.. CCC Boxer, C1: http://youtu.be/7-vmBKeS-vs Course 2 was a fun course.. Uphill, downhill, across hill.. Lol.. Gate 2 was a lack of attention.. :/ I watched David do it and his rig made it look easy.. Then watched it look Not so easy.. The Boxer went at it like a champ, but driver didn't watch the top.. Seems to always be one at each comp.. Lol... 4 points between the 3 best scores on this course.. CCC Boxer, C2: http://youtu.be/i8RsN2fGKps Course 3, another fun course.. (Had to edit the first few seconds tho.. Camera man thought he was "funny") lol.. CCC Boxer, C3: http://youtu.be/l3iNbHTjlHc |

Thanks Do you think that the Boxer will endure without the silver and bent spacers? |

They are from B machine RC.. (BND, screen name) I met Bruce at World's and wanted to support his saaweeet cross braces! That and since the reverse tranny is a test piece, the chassis support/"cab" wasn't exactly shaped for it.. So they ended up goin hand in hand for my use.. I believe the "cab" will get a reshape to fit the reverse tranny if Barry/CCC is goin to produce the setup this way.. (Which has been talked about) I say it's good to go, if it means anything.. The chassis itself is very well structured and can do without a brace and endure.. (Not that it would be a issue with the "cab" reshaped) I mean it has endured this far and has had atleast 100 packs thru it since I got it on the rocks less then 2 months ago. The chassis, geo, an clearance, all work together to complete a true performer with this setup! It simply stays planted and just does some bad ass work on the rocks! |

Thanks for the reply I'm running the chassis too and I love it. I was just asking because I got a new Losi tranny for it and the motor is there where actually the spacer should be. This is the second spacer (which fixes the "cab" in front), just behind the front shock spacer. I hope you know which spacer I mean... You think it will work? EDIT: I marked the spacer Last edited by braune; 10-18-2014 at 03:55 PM. |

That's the most ridiculous losi Every! I had to go find ur thread to see what you had going on.. I'm glad I did! Sub'd... Anyways.. If it where me and IMO, I would just move the brace up into a set of shock holes that allows that Sick new tranny to let the motor forward and clear.. Do I think having 1 less brace would hurt it? Not really.. 100 course's in 8 weeks!!! One: that's Awesome! Two: you'll notice if it hurts performance at all.. Before I got the B machines cross braces, I only ran with the cross brace under my rear drive shaft and the one at the rear shocks.. So it seems that's alot more open chassis then there in the front, but that was only for a 2-3 weeks time.. I found the 2 cross braces in the "cab" to be the ones to have in place.. I think you'll be good without it tho.. With a body on, the chassis won't take any hits and if you get in a bind so bad that it twists the chassis to the point that it breaks, it was going to break anyways.. Cross brace or not.. |

Time to make a actual post on this thing.. Once I switched from my XR to the CCC Berg axles, I realized how nice the steering setup was.. Then it came time to build the CCC boxer.. Time for something different! With a CCC link plate and a spare 7950 sized Berg mount (cause I run a 7980 on the Berg), I started chewing on both of them. . So here's the (template behind) CCC Berg steering "desTroy" plate, w/some help from CustomFiber.. Why desTroy? Cause I, Troy, took the chance of destroying I highly needed part to my rig, a week before World's/Nat's.. :/ I did a little dremel work to the top of the back half of the axle housing to get the servo as low as possible and sitting level. Then added a offset link end to the front shocks.. After all that, I knawled at the servo mount till it all worked together.. Now, the CCC version will come with the CF plate wrapped around the front of the servo and on both sides, as well as the servo mount spacer. It works with normal sized servo's. Holmes Hobbies servo and Hitec tested.. Speaking of.. This beast of a servo had broke 2 sets of gears and ready to be out back in since HH got the problem gear replaced with steel.. As well as a full steel set of gears in the making. |

I like the servo mount. Could you get a close pic straight on at the front?

I have one from build period.. I'll get more after work today.. For steering clearance and all that.. This shows that the horn is lower then a top mounted servo.. |

Thanks bud. Looks like the finished height isn't bad at all. The majority of the weight of the servo is lower, and the its protected somewhat better than my current setup. Likely likely.
