I'm sure there's glue on the rock seeing as though it's a different color ... Perhaps the grainy video is hiding the puppet strings a neighborhood child is tugging for you .... Maybe the boxer and doo overs are just amazing .. All much better explanations than your driving skills BITCH

My driving skills are a OK explanation.. A start anyways? Lol...
Yes the Boxer is just amazing tho!
Tires don't count.. A set of Voodoo's on a El Nino made it once as well.. ;)

As for the wheels..
Yep, yep.. After I drilled out the short standoffs, that had a 1/4" threaded end on them(which didn't leave much thread left after going thru a 1/8" face).. Now they are just a pass thru with a screw thru the bead ring, standoffs and face.. Very secure now!

It is crazy how your boxer climb on this rock!!!actually compare to normal servo stand how work your news servo stand?? What is the benefit of this methode???i am curious about to know!!! You have a crazy shafty and let me say you it something like this i would like mine look like, this capability of climb and all this that push the limit of shafty that can comp with moa. At this moment everyday i watch your build thread and some other one to and it crink me to build mine each day ,thanks for all guy like you for those good build thread very nice build WINNERUN

I don't wanna speak for troy..... but I will some. ;) the CCC boxer chassis is outstanding. It'd easily the best shafty chassis I've ever ran. And I've had a few. As for the steering setup, mounting the servo like that has a few advantages. It gets the servo out of harms way, creates better geometry, ie the servo arm, drag link, and knuckles are all moving on the same plane. This makes for less power loss throughout the steering throw. Another bonus is that more of the weight of the servo is lower than with a traditional on top of plate setup. Also creates more room for a tie rod that is as straight as you can manage on the front of the axle. The straighter the tie rod the stronger the setup will be.

Guys,

I just want to add a couple things....... Winner is an incredible driver and coupled with the incredible building ability he has and what he did with this kit he has a winning combination!

This truck was built about two weeks before World's in RI and he was sitting in third place until he had a wire break halfway through the finals course. It was a very sad moment for everyone...... But Troy took it in stride and finished with a 5th place at the biggest event of the year. Great job Winner.......

Well put Beest! I don't know what else to add..

I know, I like it!
It's the lowest cog I could figure out how to get out of it, straightest link geo, and most torque.
It basically turned a 7950, with this setup, into a 7980(or so it performs/feels like) with a short drag link and top mounted setup.. It also makes it that much easier to lower ur body without having to hack up that expensive paint job or skins...
I have been extremely pleased with the outcome and Stoked I had the parts from CCC to design this and working with Barry to make this a viable option to the masses.
I'm pretty sure you guys that get it will dig it!

Thanks for the kind words Barry!
Before World's, I wondered why I saw, what seemed to be, so many ppl putting new electronics in there rigs.. Welllll... I found out the hardest way of why.. :'(
On a plus side.. It better to have happened after I made top 5 then before and not made the top 5! :/

Man, I just keep coming back and looking at it!
Tho, I don't think ur servo is going to be strong enough for crawling Barry.. ;)

With the spacer's all around the servo and the servo pretty well a fixed part of the axle, at this point.. I think I might remove the support post on the battery side and drop mine under the plate as well.. I likey!!!

Oh I am so relieved..... I am happy to hear this has the Winner stamp of approval! Lol. Now I finally have a drop in place, bolt together Shafty steering setup that is repeatable. Generic setup plates are nice but sometimes the simplest assembly gives the most consistent results.

I'm excited to see these. I've struggled to find a steering setup I like, and this looks to be the ticket. Simple, strong, and will protect my servo when I drive my Boxer like a short course truck. ;)
