So despite my lack of time lately, I had a comp to attend, and this was my option for running shaftsmen and pro class..

I soldered up a new Br mini and bec, 7950, and one bad ass, custom, HH 27t skewed 400 puller!
This setup was ridiculous! In leaves and dirt, I couldn't Not get back on my tires!
One time, during the second course, the front and rear binded up.. Rig looked like a twizzler!
Proof you say... Noticed after I made it thru the next 4 gates and finished the course. (Then repair)

Surprisingly stiff!

My Dlux knuckles worked Amazingly! Attach them to a 7950 @ 8.2v, mounted in my desTroy plate, and you have one Killer combo!
There was not one instance that I felt like I needed anything more.
I mean, what else do you need when you bind the front tire up, hit the steering, and the ass end of the rig picks up off the ground and move's to the side!? ;)

From there, I finished the 3rd course and grabbed a 1st..
That was 2x 1st's for the day(1.9 borrowing Jslick's rig.. Thanks John!) and nothing to loose, I decided to run it in the pro class.

Pro course's where redesigned sporty course's..
Course 1.. Hit gate 4(a gate that wasn't even moved!) Head slap...
Course 2.. Went awesome!
Course 3.. Was going Great! Then I landed in a hole off of 6 and noticed my rear axle wasn't spinning.. There's no dig on my sporty! "I thought to myself"..

Then I thought.. This is No good! So I picked up my rig thinking a loose set screw to the drive shaft.. NOPE... I wish tho!

The only thing that didn't have loctite on it..

This threw me off, to say the least, and resulted in a TO shooting for the finish gate. (Which I did make after time ran out).

In the end.. 2nd place in pro.. (by 3 points)

It felt great just to get out with the guys and do some driving!

I put a little drop of blue loctite on my SDI shafts in that spot to hole the sleeve down. As long as its a really small drop of blue loctite I have had no trouble pulling the shaft apart.

Blue locktite on both my SDI shafts for the same reason.

Don't want that sleeve getting loose and loosing the pin, or the set screws, for that matter.

Nice job on Sunday, Troy.

I'll get you next time, perhaps....

Long time, no update..

But I like to drive, so let's catch up a touch..

2nd place ECC
1st place BC qualifier comp
And most recently, a trip to NENC..
3rd place.. 23 points behind the man, Turbofest and 10 points behind my BmachineRC teammate, M_Energy.. (Which will bring me too this being my last update in this thread)
I'll be switching to the BmachineRC EVO chassis...

Most courses went well, driving was on..
Hurtful moments.. One course I looked over, I told myself to take the finish gate and get the bonus..
Well, ran a perfect course and lined up to crawl the finish bgate.. It cost me 7 reverses And the gate! Plus wasted just enough time, that I was halfway thru the bonus, that I ran out of time!

Trust your gut dummy!

And the final course I ran.. Had a plan there too..
Just thru gate 8, perfect course and 3 bonuses down (5 pointers), I lost steering.. No!!!! The servo horn screw stripped out of the output..
Which pointed me towards the 4th bonus, that I wasn't going to do.. Ahhhh!!!! Gate!

Oh well.. So went my weekend..

The NENC was a F'n blast as per past year's.. Yet another growing year for the NENC!
If you missed out, you Missed out!!! ;)

Now onto the real reason I posted at all...
Lightning! ;) lol

For more detail.. HH in the rear "window" area.. My driver number on the sides, my name on the roof, and just a absolutely Amazing paint job!

Ok, I know, I know.. In my last post, I said it would be the last.. Buuuuuttttttttt.. Work killed me, build time, and All of my drive time! :'(

So here goes a World's update..

Sporty went well.. Driving felt to be on point and rig setup was working..
C1 was looking and said, to be the easiest course all day (before anyone drove anything)..

It was technical and tricky.. But finished..
I wasn't exactly happy with my score..
Then to realize it was a top score and a lot of dnf's where happening.

C2 was going good, till a rear upper pulled out of a link end, and didn't exactly help.. Dnf..

Go fix it...

C3.. Smooth course.. Moving right along.. BAM! The other rear upper pulled out of the link end!

But I finished this one, from gate 4-5 without a link..

C4 and C5 moved right along..

Come to find out I'm in the top 5!

At which point, I went balls out! 10 gates, with 2 repeating bonuses (that could be progressed in either direction)..

So I put the 13t XX HH 400 puller to Work!
I should of had paddle's, it would of been killer racing across the desert floor! ;)

All in all.. I took 5th place again this year..
In hind sight, simply finishing, could of put me in second or 3rd.. (However the numbers would of worked out)
Cause it turned out to be all about finishing.. As per usual, in most cases of close races..

Shout out to my man Paul! Our number one driver, in 2.2s..
The only person to finish all 5 course's on the day and the only one to finish the finals course..

To me, that's F'n awesome! Consistency and solid proof of a victor.. Your going down next year!

But now it's time.. Time to move forward..

New thread will be coming..

Sir, you have no idea how right you are!

Actually.. I could break my pro and my mini down, on the same bench at the same time, and still get all 3 built! ;)

But instead, I have my pro exploded on my kitchen table for the day and waiting on bearings and rear tubes, for the sporty..

So I only needed to be organized enough for a dismantle, not a build... Yeah stan-ass!
