So, first comp behind. I managed to get the first position!! Yeah! First of all I have to say that the tracks were perfect. I was a bit concerned about the snow because I thought that there were going to be plenty of ice under the snow and yea there was. Lucky for me I had the right tire choice. Voodoos worked wonderfully! So I think, if those tires work perfectly in the snow they'll work anywhere! Carnage is pretty good at the moment A lot of changes have been made. It's totally a different car than it was last year. The motor gives it a really nice boost. It's going to be a good year for carnage! Even if we had just two competitors in the shafty class the competiton was still tough! Saku is a really good driver so I'm absolutely surprised that I managed to beat him. It was a fun race with good company! I have to say that I'm still pretty amazed myself. This was a good start for the season 2015! |

Time for some updates before next comp! Set of new goodies for Carnage! Overdrive ratio for the front axle, DravTech CF motor plate and Holmes Hobbies longer outputs for the transmission. Transmission stuff assembled. Wanted to have these outputs, so Sofi can run with my Stampede shafts still. And of course some DravTech quality. Much better! Now the shaft won't fell off during some WHEELSPEED!! I've never been a huge fan of aluminium screws. Now though, things have changed. Putting them everywhere I can. I also changed the ratio in front axle. Super Shafty send the axle with underdrive, which really wasn't the plan.. With that done, there's still few things to do. I'll continue from this tomorrow. |

Final stretch before the comp. New shock oil. 40wt oil to each shock. Body cutting to minimize them sides touching. RTR weight for the comp. RFOT's Crawl Cup 2015 current leader. Will be really interesting to see how the modifications after winter to this rig are working. If Sofi continues to drive as in the first comp it's a quarateed top 4. It's the nerves. We have six registered drivers to comp. Good amount of people in the terms of finnish comps. As usual pics and video will follow later. |

So, tomorrow race at the bunker, can't wait! Car looks great and works pretty well. Samu has a point when he talks about my nerves. But I think I can keep my nerves under control but let's see I'ts going to be a great day with excellent company! |

Bunker Indoor comp now behind, with mixed feelings. Already third winter comp in this Bunker. Tons of rigs in line and before the comp very good mood! Sofi on course number two. On course three. This was the best course for her. Rig was working excellent. Even better than in the Arctic Special. Only thing that broke during the comp was front XR shaft after massive accelaration into a hole. A little pieces of shaft were flying in the air! Here is course three on video. Fifth spot only two points behind our goal. It's not that bad, but it could be weay better. But like me, neither is Sofi a huge fan of tight indoor courses. I do belive the driving will improve to the next comp when we get outside on dry rocks. Now we are waiting for the snow to melt and after five weeks the next comp. Possibly some training before it too. Last edited by Zarizi Tech; 02-23-2015 at 02:31 AM. |

Feelings after bunker shafty performance are not that good. But I can't but the blame on Carnage because it worked amazingly despite one little repair with the front XR shaft. Maybe my acceleration was a bit too heavy So maybe few pointless gates and too slow driving gave me extra points. Of course other competitiors were extremely talented so it was a tight race until the end. But there is no time for worrying. Got to keep head up and make better results next time! |

Nothing much to do before the next comp. Sofi has been too busy with school, so it's straight from the bunker comp to the next one. Well at least the rig is cabable of anything. Tightening the screws mostly. Just noticed that the threads in the gearbox seems to be quite bad. Might have to invest for a new housing. It's ready to go for it. Eleven drivers registed so far for the comp, so objective would be top six position. Should be doable is she keeps them nerves under control. Let's hope for a good weather. It has changed a lot in recent days. Last edited by Zarizi Tech; 03-24-2015 at 10:43 AM. |

Next race is coming tomorrow. The weather is awful so it's going to be a interesting race for sure. Looking forward to drive with this rig. It has been working so well so I think that tomorrow's race is going to be a pleasant race for me! I just hope I can keep my nerves under control I'm honored to represent Ottsix from now on! |

RFOT's Crawl Cup 2015 comp three is now behind with an excellent result! We had a record participation in the shafty class. 14 starters in total. Sofi had not trained at all after last comp, so it was gonna be interesting day for sure. Thumbs up either way, good or bad. HH power making this thing fly! We found a small problem with the rig during the comp. The threading in the transmission was worn out and the whole thing was tightened by one screw. Two roll overs were made because of the risk of it to fall off. Will have to buy a new housing for the next comp. Sofi did a really good day, bearing in mind that she had no training. And the rig is working like a dream! Last course finished. Wanna see it? Course four here. Excellent driving in a difficult conditions. On the result board Sofi ended up in sixth spot. That's a really good effort in that crew. Now some training before the next comp and she can improve the position from that! Unfortunately Sofi won't be able to attend our next team event, but she'll be at the starting line on the finnish series opener on may. Last edited by Zarizi Tech; 04-01-2015 at 08:42 AM. |

Another RFOT's Crawl Cup comp behind. It was fun but long day. I'm quite satisfied with the results. Courses were drivable. Only problem that I had was the threading in the transmission what had worn out. But all in all a good comp for carnage! And as Samu said the rig is really working like a dream and I do absolutely agree on that! |

Nice job. A little unfair that your mechanic sent you out with a faulty truck. I think you need to add those two rollovers (+10) to his score. After all, it's the mechanic's responsibility to make sure your truck is in top condition. |

Time for update! A well needed one. New transmission housings! When we put this to the rig, Sofi can finally take it to the max! It's there! New threading and the housing is tightly secured now. Rig is ready for the finnish series opener tomorrow. Sofi hasn't been driving with this since the last comp, so it's interesting to see what she manages without training. It's the first time in two years, that she can attend to a finnish series comp. Ten drivers registered and I would be saying top six position is in reach. |

First Finnish Series comp behind for this year. Probably the northern most crawling comp in the world. Cool place though. Sofi didn't have her best day in terms of driving. Lots of stupid gates on the way. Rig was working all day, but the driver seemed to forgot how to drive it. It's probably the lack of training doing that. Courses were difficult this time too. So they left no room for rookie mistakes. Sofi managed to finish two courses out of four. But so did a lot of other guys as well. Course one here. Even in that course there was two stupid gates involved. You'de better watch out better how you enter the gate. Tenth position this time. Luckily a new comp is just behind the corner. It's time to forgot the mistakes in this one. And the rig is more than ready for tomorrows comp in Rauma. Eleven starters registered in the shafty class. We'll hope for more calm driving by Sofi. Should be fun day outdoors and maybe some good performances as well. |

Back to the comp ground! We had local comp last saturday in Rauma. Southwestern part of Finland. Sofi had clearly forgot the little mistakes from the previous comp, cause the driving on saturday was really good. Course two. Easiest of the day. You gotta make most of it though. Bonushunter! Rig was working great till the spur gear turned into a smash. The other screw from the motor had completely fallen off at some point. Weird cause it was just tightened before the comp. Luckily it broke down on the hard course, so minimal damage was done to the overall standings. Another bonus in the books! Here is that course two in video. Great driving!! Here are the results. Sofi can be really proud of that result. She managed to get back on her best performances after dissapointing last comp. Now there will be a comp free moth for Sofi, but she'll be back behind the wheel on July. |

Time to make return for the comps next weekend. Let's blow the dust off from the beetle and start preparing! Changed the oil from the shocks and secured the screws. All set for Sofi's comeback. It's been over a month since last comp, so there will be no preassure by putting some crazy goals for her. It's time to focus on the basic driving again and start training for EuroCrawl on November. We'll see how it goes this time. |
