Builders Sporty Build I figured it was about time to put this pile of parts into something useful. This wont be the lightest, coolest, most modern build ever. Its purely for pleasure Life has been super busy for me since the career change nearly 2 years ago. I stepped away from the competitive scene shortly after because I wasn't having fun anymore. As a result, I've been a bad vendor, and haven't been on the forum much:cry: So I'd like to continue the momentum into a sporty build I decided to pick up a little SCX10 a while back, and tinker on it when I felt like it. Its been the most fun I've had with RC's in a long time. It's become nearly a cheater rig, and crawls like an animal:twisted: http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g4...008_173638.jpg For a while I've had an itch to get back to my roots, and build something capable... And when I say build, I mean actually build and fabricate some stuff. Not that I have anything against folks that bolt together a capable crawler, but I don't find much pleasure in that. There are a couple objectives to this build: -Build/fabricate as many parts as I can/have time for -Try out some ideas I have had for a while -Enjoy the build This is a pile of that I have just laying around. In a nutshell it will have: -Custom width AR60 axles -Front Side Jones trans V2 (For those un-familiar with a front side jones trans, see this link. It's a design of mine a couple years ago: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/axial...ne-fatale.html) -Reverse rotation drive shafts F/R with a gear reduction/reversing box behind the trans -Possibly a new suspension setup -Custom rear drive axles This build probably wont be a terribly quick build, as my schedule generally doesn't give me much time. But I will do what I can in the hour or 2 here and there that I can sneak in:mrgreen: http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g4...209_174734.jpg |
