So after pulling my hair out for acouple hours this weekend, I have come to the conclusion that you HAVE to run a AR60 rear axle with this front axle, As you can't flip the gear in the Currie centre section. And that was not my idea when i started this project. I really wanted to run the Ottsix V2 rear axle. At this point i have 4 options - 1- buy my brothers AR60 centred and narrowed rear axle 2- Have a Rear Currie axle made 3- Sell it 4- Go back to the SCX axles i had. Not sure what direction i'm going to head in now Last edited by chevotafun; 01-16-2017 at 10:11 AM. |

With some narrow shift hubs you dont think the AR60 would be narrow enough?

Damnit damnit damnit...I missed that too! Guess Erik will be coming up with the "perfect" rear sporty axle to match!

LOL. A rear currie to match would not be hard and probably not too expensive. Everything is pretty much figured out. Same truss as the front, just need to figure out tube length, which is not hard. |

After pulling my head out of my ass, i got back to this project. I ended up putting my brothers narrowed AR60 in the rear, Which seemed to work out very well. I need some wider hubs for the front and rear. Running 600 hubs up front and 225 hub in the rear. Thinking 725 front and 350 for the rear. Current width - Front is 10 1/8" Rear is 9 3/4" I got the truck up and runing even got acouple battery packs through it over the weekend, All in all other than needing to be a bit wider it did very well on the test pile. Might need to add alittle more knuckle weight, but i will leave it where it is for now till i get some more packs on it to determine what needs to be changed. I think i might need to make the front uppers a bit longer to tilt the servo up a bit, at full droop the servo drops below the lower link, not sure if thats going to be a issue or not yet. I still need to grind down the middle of the currie pumpkin to get rid of that edge, so that i don't get hung up on that. Here are some picture of my rig all together, i will try to get a video of it in action for all to see. I was surprized at the weight it came in at, not to bad at 3lbs 11.5oz. I thought it was going to be a bit heavier. Last edited by chevotafun; 01-23-2017 at 11:12 AM. |

Nice looking axles. It sure is nice having the servo behind and lower on the axle out of harms way . I put a Hulksta smash plate on mine last yr and really liked it especially the lower CG Nice idea on Ur battery mount that gets it even lower Like what Randy did with the narrowed AR-60 rear I never did like the AR-60 OCP never could get them to stop torque lifting the wheel off the ground Last edited by Tom G; 01-23-2017 at 09:45 AM. |

We finally the sun came out and we got to get outside sunday for a comp and the DravTech SuDu FL one work killer pulling out the win Sporty Results - Mike (Chevotafun) -16 Darren (MT Ranger) 61 Bob (Solitiare) 74 Randy (Mammoth) 126 The new truck seemed to work very well, need to do some shock tuning and to limit the front shock so they don`t droop so far, it causes alittle binding in the drive shaft |
