The link plates worked out perfectly. I will be using them on my sporty class rig. I used 1/8" Delrin, cut with a laser. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk |

No, it's pretty solid, it's 1/8" delrin. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk |

It's not the delrin "I" would worry about flexing.. My rear plate will twist the 2 posts and the brace, with the 3rd screw in it.. I replaced the axle brace with an aluminum one and had to run longer screws in the 2 axle housing posts.. I still get flex in harder binds.. just watch it.. It will rip the 2 screws out, over time, from the flexing.. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk |

I did a mockup today on my chassis today with some links I had laying around, getting Ti ones soon, but I am adding the 3rd hole, really didn't think it needed the 3rd hole till I did the mockup. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk |

I ended up adding the 3rd hole in the the rear plate for more rigidness. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk |

So I redesigned the servo/link plate, works out much better. I was able to mount the esc on the underside with the battery on top, the servo is now vertical sitting on top of the axle giving it more LCG. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk Last edited by fshnut007; 10-01-2015 at 12:32 PM. |

Ooohhhhhh, your going to love it! When I designed that plate and started running it about a year ago, I switched from a 7980 with bad geo to a 7950(cause the 7980 wouldn't fit originally) with good geo. I haven't missed the 7980 yet! Can't wait to hear what you think about it, after you get it on the rocks! |

Barrys Carbon plates are really nice. I run a hose clamp around the input bearing but there's other options for more mounting points. I get zero flex out of this.

I like the setup, it works alot better than having the servo sit flat on top of the plate. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk |

It's not a bolt on part but the final outcome is worth every minute used to make shit work. I'll never go back to a traditional setup unless I plan on selling the rig.

I would like to use the same set up on scale, but with rules and regs that's a no go, lol Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk |

100% legal It's still axle mounted. There's no other points of mounting outside of that. |

I'm not taking any credit for this, I saw something like this, tweaked it to work for my setup, so it's a 1 off. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk Last edited by fshnut007; 10-02-2015 at 08:08 AM. |
