Awesome, thanks Chris. The one I've been looking at is actually the J Concepts illuzion body for the mini Revo. It really has some cool lines and the roof is pretty low. Looks kinda similar to the Exciter body just smaller!!

It wouldn't take much to get below the 3 lb mark at this point. I have a couple ideas, I don't care how much below 3 it gets just as long as I can say it's below!! So when is Krazed Builds adding the 3D printer to the arsenal?😜

Well I picked up the J Concepts Illuzion body for the mini Revo. It fits into the 8" length, 3" width, 3" height but there's one problem, if I put a straight edge at the roof line and then measure up from the hood I come up with .8 and I believe you have to have a minimum of 1" if I'm not mistaken. Sucks because this body looked like it would work perfect until that one measurement!!

Light bulb and bubble the roof ........

Rules don't say where on the roof the measurement has to be taken from.

I may just have to try that. It only has to go up about an 1/8"

That could work as well... I'm interested to try the smaller body, not that it would really be that much of an advantage but I think it would make flipping the rig back over onto its wheels a little easier.

Looking good man. You take any photos of that J-Concepts body, I am interested to see how it looks mounted. I am currently playing with a Losi Mini 8t body for other reasons but thinking about it maybe that would work. It is a bit larger 10" x 5" but might be a nice middle ground. Also can set you up with a deringer if you want to give that a shot. Also shoot me a pm about the 3d printing stuff, I might be able to give you a hand.

Thanks Brian, I actually thought about the Deringer body too!! I will post up some pics of the Illuzion body tonight with dimensions. I do have a couple 3d print ideas that I may run by you.

To make the body legal as per the new rules I used the heat gun and made 2 indentations that look kind of like vents and shaped them until I reached the 1" height.

The body is mounted and it fits Awesome!!! Still have trimming to do but I hacked enough off to get it mounted and to make sure it would work.
