This body sits super low!! Even when it's upside down all 4 tires are in complete contact with the ground with some suspension travel still left!

Rear angle, the body has a surprising amount of clearance inside for the suspension.

Over all I am impressed with just how well this body fits. There is the right amount of clearance for everything and I like the looks of the body! I will be painting this lid up and using it!!

Looks good man, remind me do you have to make the 1" measurement from hood to roof, or can it be from trunk (truck bed) to roof?

In the recent rules changes the way I interpreted it was that the 1" measurement had to be made going vertically from the hood to the horizontal line at the roof.

that body looks great! correct me if I am wrong but after reading this..
"
▪ 2.5.6 - Bodied Vehicles only, typically a lexan body that is removable from chassis. Bodiless vehicles are prohibited. Bodies must be of original width and resemble a 1:1 vehicle with cab, door, and hood panels. Vehicle “body” measurements include chassis with installed body, and must be greater than or equal to 8" overall length, 3" overall width, and 3" overall height."
it doesnt look like there are any rules about the roof to hood dimension of 1" anymore other than it needs to "resemble a 1:1 with cab, doors, and hood and be made of 1 piece.

looks like a nice small option that fits perfectly inside the rules.

nice build by the way!

I didn't think the 1" separation was in play either until I read the rules thread further and then JRH clarified that it's for body and body less.

Looks great, your upper link locations remind me of a Gatekeeper set up. Great work it looks pretty mean.

Thank you Stormin' I am definitely happy with this rig. Paint operations start on the new lid tonight. I think this body is gonna look pretty cool on there when it's all painted up. I'll post some pics once it's done.

Painting is complete on the barely legal body. I decided to keep my same paint scheme for the 2016 comp season. Maybe next year i'll change it up.

Funny, I actually thought about that but I didn't have a ton of spare time time to spend on it, but now that I know this body works I will pick up another one and do something cool this winter. These bodies are only about $14 so it's a pretty cheap option.

Thanks Alamo! Yes I had to add the horns to make it legal, the body measures .8 when you measure from the hood up to roof line and to be legal you have to have a minimum of 1" from hood to roof. The body does sit really low, no more rocking on that lid. You can drive this thing around upside down now and one blip of the throttle on the Puller and it flips right back over!

It's been a long time since I've posted on the boxer so time for an update! Ran the truck at NENC a couple weeks ago, which was an Awesome comp by the way and put this baby through some torture. Took about a 20' fall twice on the same gate and the second time it landed sideways and broke a wheel and snapped the shear pin in the rear axle!! Ouch! Of course it was the 1st course of the day so I had to run 4 other courses with front wheel drive only. I was also plagued with battery problems all weekend. They all decided to die at the same time. I would fully charge them and get in 3 gates and the batteries would just dump.
First thing Monday morning I ordered some new batteries and I am definitely liking these so far. They are G Force 500mah 50c 3s. Get good runtime and good power out of these and they are pretty cheap.
