i have read that you were having setting your hitec 7950 servo at 8.2v so does it hard on them or it took it easy???i have bought one and would know a good voltage setting for it will be for my sudu fl???

Very correct! I run my 7980 and 7950's on 8.2v.

Easy on it? Mmm, they last long enough but it can shorten the life expectancy of the servo.
Then again, not running enough voltage can shorten the life, as well..
All depends on hard you are on the servo and how hard you bind it up.

Troy is correct, I run both my 7950, and my 7980 at 8.4 myself. No issues after 2 years like that.

Saturday was the last day of hunting season. So now that my freezer is full, it's time to get back at it!

A little boost in my activity, came Thursday..

which leads to crawling Saturday night.. Had to test the current setup and feel of the rig.
Sunday was swap day..

The new HH HV500 is smaller, in height, then a 7950 by ". Doesn't seem like much in numbers, but when they are side by side, it is.
It's shorter from the ears, in both directions. To top and to bottom.

All mounted..

First impression.. Is this thing broke!? Lol..
It's SO quite!!! All I heard, was my BR mini arm and then Nothing!
I had to turn the TX wheel, to know if it was working..

Pop the wheel in both directions.. WOW! I think the rear end moved, the steering slapped side to side, so fast!

OK, let's go crawling!

So a pack in.. I'm use to a 7950 on 8.2v(no actually numbers on 8.2/8.4v) but 486oz at 7.4v, .13.. Been testing the Protek 170t (630oz @ 7.4v) .11
Now the HH HV500.. 450oz @ 7.4v. 500oz @ 8.4v, .11..

I have Zero thoughts about pulling the HH!
The torque to speed ratio makes for a hell of a feel on the rocks!

Will report back after some more testing!

Why not - not bad - we crawl in places next to creeks and on and off of dirt - foam setup (right now)

They work in places we comp and run scale.
I watch the scale rigs just roll thru the dirt/water/leaves and then crawl right up the rocks, that comp rigs where having issues with..

Only Troy, so far!!! ;) yep, RB's..

First impressions, on a cold day and the rocks where wet..
A little slick.. Almost like they need more weight, to perform.
It could also be the foam setup..
Too much foam in the front, for sure.. 6" CC,soft.
Rears seem like they are softer. 5.5" CC, medium with the outer cut down .5" in width..
So I'm going to put the rears on the front and give it a go..
But now, we Finally got snow, so I'll have to go to the bridge for testing.

Which means it's time to get the Super out for a few packs too!!! Yay..

I got some packs in today.. (Yesterday)
My main goal for today, was servo and tire testing. I feel I handled both..

I gave the servo all I had. Front end jammed into the rocks, at full lock and steer out of it while motor power is pushing into it.

Cracks, holes, and bound up..

Even hanging the rig from its front tire and doing pull ups with it, off a ledge, while I crawled my way around it.. The "hand of God" line.. (If you want to watch video, on my YouTube, it's there)

Sorry guys, I tried and tried, but couldn't even get it warm! 6 packs into it, I stopped beating on my rig...
Set to 8.4v..

As for the RB's.. I'm going to run them!
A little foam tuning, but the tires bite, flex, and pull!

More testing to be done and maybe some video.. Before the first comp, which will have video! (Just not sure when that is yet)... Lol
