It all started as a way to spend some quality time together for my son Anthony and I. We were and are still building a truck together but I fell in love with our SuDu so I bought him his own from Ittybitty. He instantly feel in love with the truck! And now that football is over we had our chances to drive it, so off to Sam Lewis we went. Being that it was his first time driving it but still wanting him to gain experience in what its like to be in a comp, we setup 3 courses. I fudged the gate widths for him some and gave him 7min a course but that's it. The first course I set wasn't that hard but made a few gates that made you think about how to approach the next. He got -14 on this course and I was impressed! Course two he setup while I was watching a scale comp that Back Hills Rc was putting on. This is what he came up with and the pics are of him driving. Gate 1 Gate2 Gate 3 Gate 4 Gate 5 Gate 6 Gate 7 Gate 8 Crazy side hill to 9 Gate 9 Gate 10 He got a -13 on this course! Once again I was impressed. Not only with his driving but also setting a killer course! Not sure using gate 4 as gate 10 is legal but I'll let him slid this time. Course 3 I set and I set it to be rather hard to get him to think outside of the box and how to use no boundary marks to your advantage. He didn't do so well with that and got a +10 on that course. Mainly cause he drove into himself twice and hit the last gate. Even with that he did very very excellent and I'm very impressed and super proud! Now let's talk about his truck! Man what a truck it is!!!! This little beast is stable and predictable. Ittybitty built a very nice rig that is going to do Anthony well with a ton of drive time and we live 15mins away from gorgeous rocks made to crawl! I can't believe how this rig crawls. I wish I had my gopro cause it nailed all my test spots with ease. Very impressive! |

Took the boy out to drive today and he did well. He's still a little trigger happy and gets mad when he ends up on the lid but for running regulation gates and 6 min courses he did well -30 over all. Once again this truck just works. Its so forgiving to drive. With some more time and some patients he will be a contender! Even mom joined today a photographer! |

Good stuff Chris! Can't wait to get the boys together and give them a chance to crawl.

I can get you a place to crash and the boys can have a sleep over. That just might mean 2 days of crawling.
