AX10 Scorpion Fr Axle died, replacement advice? The bearings seized, the screw holes in the axle, for the C-hubs, ripped out, axles twisted off. I'd like to get a new locked diff front axle, just bolt it on. Assembling a front axle would be OK too. Is this what I need? It requires assembly. Re: AX10 Scorpion Fr Axle died, replacement advice? In the long run you would be better off with the stock parts. They are light and should hold up. I use a grease gun and fill my axle housings it helps to keep water out and lubes all moving parts. I also change my bearings yearly. Also give rrp Hobbies a look very nice people to deal with and ultra fast shipping. |
Re: AX10 Scorpion Fr Axle died, replacement advice? Ok you can add repair tubes or beef tubes etc to the inside of you axle housings it will do several things. 1 fix the holes that stripped 2 it will strengthen your housings 3 it will give you weight down low. They run about 20 for a set. Then get a set of bearings (fast eddy bearings on rrp) |
Re: AX10 Scorpion Fr Axle died, replacement advice? imo the integy axle makes no sense in terms of money and what is usable. Depending what you have left the beef tubes will be your best option with some fast eddie bearings. If the axle housing is just crumbled bits get a stock one and do some preventative mods to it. |
