I did a weight comparison of the 13t 5 slot Holmes Hobbies motor and the 13t puller motor. |

No.. That would be gearing, if its running warm. With my experience, they show the least amount of wear tho.. On the comm and brushes. |

Have to agree. Running them in my XR and even on 4S I noticed they run a lot cooler then normal 540's did. If its warm youre over geared. |

Custom fiber Winnerone23 got me a 13t puller and I had a 13t Hh 5 slot. So yeah I'll drop a few teeth. I think it's got a 14t pinion.

| Re: Updating my ax10 on a tight budget! 87/14 Should Not be heating the motor! If it is, you have bigger problems... You should be able to run 87/17 without issue.. 56/11 32p, is what I run.. It's 5.01:1 gear ratio.. |

It wasn't hot about 125 but my old one would run about 110.

Well I must say I didn't think updateing my old ax10 would have given me as much improvement in performance. As I've had a few events and free time I've tried a few places that I needed a dig to get to before with old rig. With the Evo chassis and other upgrades no problem.

Went to do some tuning on my shafty this afternoon had a kiddo free day and the puller may have given up on me. After 1/2 a pack it started to smell like burning plastic, the max temp I got was 140. I guess off to Holmes for a check up. 149 r/c worx team driver |
