In order to get the front and rear wheels to rotate in the same direction with the new rear axle,-I have to flip the ring and pinion in the front axle.
Then I have to reverse the motor aswell....
How do I check if the Puller 400 has got any timing,-it was ordered as a CCW rotating version.....if the timing is zero, there should not be any problems with just reversing the polarity on the motor.... ?

You're right about the timing. If it's 0* direction makes no difference.

Looks great Jens!

I think a 43/13 UD front gear would be perfect with the Scx II rear axle. It would be slightly less overdrive than our current OD/UD setups, which would be nice.

Slow rate of progress here,-but it's wintertime,-so no hurry

Had decided to go for 38/13 HD gears in the front,-but wanted to keep the shaved axle housing,-so I had the remove about 2mm of the ring gear diameter

A little shim on the pinion and the gears spins nicely

First outdoor test today -1 Celsius, and very slippery,-but run one battery to get some feel of the set-up.
So far I like it,-maybe some minor adjustments,-will have to see when the grip is back to "normal"

Looking forward to this season !!

Installed the Xtra Speed Steel Heavy Duty Helical Spiral Gear & Pinion Gear Set which is 28/8 ratio yesterday.......

The mesh and quality of these gears seems not that great.....

And I've seen in the SCX10 II threads that they are not durable at all....

Have to give them a try

At zero timing (brush hood and the magnets are inline). Rotate the end bell against the direction of forward rotation by 6 deg. That will be your advance timing.

Had our season opener comp this saturday,-quite windy and cold,-but very good to be back in the game
The rig drove very nice after the winters rear axle swap
After some earlier testing with the rear sway bar,-I decided to try it in the comp,-and it worked really well The rig is now stable and predictable
And I like the little bit higher overdrive the 38/13 front and 30/8 rear gives vs. the common 36/14 and 43/13,-it climbs and turns great now !

I managed to take quite a comfortable win,-both rig and driver stayed focused during the whole day,-at least in shafty class,-mod class is another story completely

Time for a new body,-the old one was quite worn,-lot of cracks and almost in two pieces
Went for a super simple paint job,-all black with bluish tinted windows,-flat clear and some stickers on the outside,-it will do

I like the black new look!
When are changing the wheels and make all black?
That would be awesome!

Second comp in our series yesterday,-the rig is performing so great now,-feel like everything is just up to my driving
Due to raining,-we only run three courses, the rocks got so slippery,-we had to think about driver safety, and cancelled the last three courses
I managed first place again with only 11 points ahead,-not that happy with the score on course number 2,-but it was a bit tricky
