If you're using the stock axle housing that would work. I've used the upper mount from bad_rax on stock and dana style ssd housings. That housing is nice because the bottom is smooth and round, no screws. It will also be the next big thing in custom axles with many companies making axle tubes for ssd centers. Some small modification was needed to use bad_rax mount on ssd but nothing major. Wide revo aluminum balls spread the links out nicely.

Hi,-the Voodos' are cut,-the stock width is too wide for my liking and steering clearance is also better when narrowed

Nice upgrades!
I also bought some of those battery's after some zippy died on me on course in Eurocrawl.
Also I saw so many people run them and giving them good reviews, so why not try?!
