list of current dig units for the ax10 trans?

Hey,
I'm building a shafty and I want a dig unit for the ax10 trans. Is axial the only dig unit still for sale? I hear good things about the VP but no one has them in stock, and they are not listed on the VP site. I hear there were "lots" of dig units for the ax10, but I can't find any for sale besides the axial unit.

does the axial dig system work well compared to the VP unit?

I did find this case from GPM, it uses the Axial AX30793 DIG Upgrade Set.

Do you mean this one? Hot racing SCP38L01 'This fits the Hot Racing SCP38X01 transmission. It will not fit the stock Axial transmission' taken directly from the item description.

if you search for axial dig upgrade set you will find several available! And it's for ax10 transmission less the servo and horn!

search where? I have searched, that's what i'm telling you, besides the unit made by axial, I cant find a dig that is still being manufactured or is available. so far no one has had a legitimate answer to my question about who currently makes a dig for the AX10 tranny.

BTW, thanks to all the members who have sent me PM's with digs they have for sale privately.

I would like this thread to have some actual tech in it for future reference, so if you know of a dig that is still being made and can provide the link please do, if you have no tech to offer, your opinion on parts no longer made serve no purpose.

I just heard from Jake Rosen at jphracing, and he said that the VP dig has been discontinued, and VP is unsure if they will make a version 2.

Are u going to be comping ur sporty in competions local and above local status? Its to my knowledge that you cant run dig in the 2.2s class anymore

EDIT:: dig is allowed on the rig but has to be locked out and deemed unusable to compete in a sporty comp

That's classy of those members. Wouldn't trust them one bit as they're breaking the forum rules and apparently don't care.

Ya, thats what im finding, it seems the shafty design was really big 5-7 years ago, now everything 'comp' is moa. And since the sportsmans class doesnt allow dig, no one seems to make one anymore. The only unit I can find that isnt discontinued is the axial unit.

I have a new VP dig unit but never installed it in my rig because of it's open design. I was afraid I'd get mud and small rocks in it and it would jam up when I needed it. Instead I installed the Axial Wraith dig in my scaler. It has a closed design and I have used it a lot and have never had any issues with it; goes in and out of 4WD very easily and smoothly. I was very skeptical when I first installed it, but after a full season of very hard driving and abuse I am very happy with it so far.

This is disheartening. So when my HP dig breaks or wears out I'm out of luck.
