The black revised version should hold up fine I think. The comp shown above was one with many binds and tough lines. They came out the other side in perfect working condition.

We recently had our State titles, where on the Saturday I managed to qualify in second. by just one less point to first. Seeing me into the shoot out on Sunday. A bad run in the first course had me doubting the days results. But then a solid run in the second saw me still in contention for the podium. The third course was to be my Hale Mary run with a double repeating bonus. I got off to a great start hitting 3 bonus with the 3 first course gates. Unfortunately one of my front wheels disassembled making it impossible to continue and ended my day in the finals. None the less it was great to see a close friend and relativity new sporty driver take the State title for the first time. This was the first time in three years that I have not stood on the podium in the 2.2 classes. The new wheels are still holding up perfectly despite a hardware error seeing the above failure occur. During the next couple of months and into our summer the rig will see a complete rebuild and retune to bring it back to its best. The three winners from our state titles. It would not be a big event with out the onesie |

Time for the yearly update. We had our state titles this past week end and again I was fortunate to make the top 5 shoot out coming in third on the qualifying day. We had some very stiff competition this year with three drivers coming across from the east. Driving in the finals was very close with First and third separated by only 5 points. For the first time in many years I managed to walk away with the top spot for the competition. Three good runs saw me finish only 2 points in front of second. It was a great event that tested every one involved. Thanks to every one that made the day possible. I would like to give a massive thanks to all of the event sponsors. RC4WD, Dravtech, onetencrawlers.com.au, Y-town Crawlers, Scalerfab, Proline, Plaig Bearings, Castle Creations, Mr. Links, Colberne Industries, Barry's RC Custom Fibre, Crawler Innovations, Boom Racing and Asia Tees. Also a huge thanks to Holmes Hobbies for having me on the team and providing the electrics to keep me moving. RCBros, for the kick arse chassis that always provides the goods Onetencrawlers for having the parts I need on the shelf when I need them Ottsix for providing arguably the best 2.2 competition tyre ever produced. Maxamps for their awesome tiny 4S packs. that allow for my driving style Last edited by Highlucks; 10-18-2017 at 10:55 PM. |
