noob question on locker in diff

2 Attachment(s)
so im decided to strip my second hand ax10 i got and clean and check everything out and learn something about it all at the same time. i have a print out of the manual to help me but the heavy duty locker that is shown in there is very different to what i have found in inside mine? is this one good, bettet or what? also found the front diff was clean inside but back one was full of dirt. would there be a reason for this?

That old locker is junk or it will be soon. Pick up a holmes or incision locker for under $20 and put it in while you're already in there.

Re: noob question on locker in diff

I also got an used ax10 lately. What u see in the manual is the optional axial heavy duty locker, what u found is the standard locker. The standard will get sloppy just a question of time. Even the HD locker got sloppy in my yeti, depending on the power u put through, so changed it in my yeti to an hh torque master spool and the sloop was gone "thumbsup"
Had a incision on the shelf, so my little betty got this in the front axle, ordered another one for the rear + UD:mrgreen:.

Make your self a list of parts what u need and order them, waiting for parts is annoying. I know, cause i'm in the same boot, could get part's online only too.
