Default Looking to jump back in

Its been about 6 years and my AX10/Poison Dart has been sitting on the stand all this time.... I want back in. Can anyone recommend a good Lipo Split pack battery setup for the Novak Goat 3S speed control?

That's pretty much what I was looking for last year about this time, but I gave in and switched to single lipo packs in the 450-500 range. Meant finding a new location and eventually a new chassis w/ a new servo/batt tray up front but it's been worth it!

I still have one (Fastback 2 chassis) and use these...

https://hobbyking.com/en_us/zippy-fl...___store=en_us

Has a vintage GOAT 2S and 18.5... Swapping that out (has some issues) with a HW 1080 and not sure of sport level motor.

I have a CKRC lipo/servo mount which moved the servo to the left and pack fits on the right....

Can't seem to figure out how to post pics...

Things have evolved a lot in six years. Comp crawling is not what it was, still my favorite. I wound suggest a new front axle mount like mentioned above. Move your servo over and mount a smaller battery next to it. I am sure you can find one out there or make your own.

Everything has gotten lighter. So carbon fiber is out there everywhere. Get a destroy plate or a crazed builds front axle plate. There are more options but those 2 have a ton of info out there.

Welcome back btw.

Well.. I obviously wasn't in any hurry to jump back in.

I got side tracked with my Unimog build.

Just ordered another AXE2300 system to put in the AX10 and get it back out on the rocks. Not worried about the battery anymore, got that all figured out. This thing has been sitting on the shelf for far too long..

I'm back baby. Sad to see that no one remembers the poison dart chassis from KC Jones. Looks like I'm one of the last survivors. Lol.

Made some new top skins. Just took a screen shot of carbon fiber, pasted it into a pdf, adjusted the sizes, printed it laminated it, cut it out and voila! BTW, this thing crawls like a dream.....

Yup, I took it with me this past weekend to a scale competition just to play around with in between scale runs. (I also have the SCX10II Unimog). But the AX10 still runs really well with the Axe 2300 kv system in it now and it will get through some pretty tight spots with ease.
