| Let's talk comp tires
Let's talk comp tires, I've been out of the hobby for awhile and voodoo pins where it. What about the klr or hyrax? Has anybody dabbled in running these on a comp rig?

Voodoo pins are good, especially out back. I like a lugged tire up front so I run jconcepts ruptures on the front of one rig and hyrax on the front of another. The hyrax were absolutely terrible at first but they're finally getting some wear on them and starting to hook.

Most people still run narrowed voodoo pins. Some people run the bully comp tire (rc4wd). Others run cut and shuts like the skinny rovers ((voodover)(1.9 rover with voodoo sidewall)) or pitbulls ((dogdoos)(1.9 rockbeasts with voodoo sidewall)). Occasionally, some run original rovers or sedonas. I think someone on here used to run a cut and shut klr, but I don't remember who. If you try the hyrax or klr let us know how it does.

On my pro rig Im a pin guy for the most of my runs, occasionally Ill put my Rovers on for artificial terrains. On my sporty/2.2S Ive switched over to Ottsixx KLR's and have really liked them. I can feel them breaking in more and they just keep sticking for me. |

Like most of the others have said, Voodoo pins pretty much take the cake. I drove Triple One Austin's 2.2s with KLR's and was actually impressed with them. The KLR's don't twist and wrap up like a pin tire, but the fact that they didn't get wrapped up in holes and ledges actually made them work pretty well on a sporty on our high traction rock. | |

I only tested 2 different tires. The rovers and the vooodoos. What I noticed with the voodoos is that the grip is more constant. There's less "grip ant let go" like the rovers... Maybe the DoOvers are better with the 1.9 smaller threads but they are expensive and hard to get Also, the height of the voodoo's is very nice! JENS, the KLR's look nice!!! But I think on the Eurocrawl spot it would be too much grip |

Bully side walls and 1.9 ruptures? I don't what the hell to call it now. I guess I will Let purple decide once he makes them. Plus I have a set of bully comp tires too. So hopefully I will have something that will be universal for most conditions. |
