Just got back into rc crawlers. I wound up with 4 of them and I'm trying to purchase some foams for my rovers. really confused with the new closed cell foam inners..... what foams is everyone running front and back? TIA |

It depends on the tires, but if Proline makes a foam that fit I have found them to work better for me than CI foams.

Just because 1 non crawler says "go proline".. doesn't hold much clout.. Foams can be a tricky thing.. with Rover's, it can be the difference between cutting the side lugs off or shaving the tires. It makes a Huge difference in how the foams work. Also if they are new or used foams.. I like used foams and going a size bigger. I would call Eddie @ CI and check with him. I personally liked a 5.5" comp cut with soft outer, for the front. 5.5" with medium outer, for the rear. You can play with it from there. | |
