Default Link Arms

Is there any advantage for the links to have a bend in them? The link ends on my Scorpion had pretty much had it- I was thinking of making new ones- BUT the slight bend in them has me stumped- would straight link arms be just as effective? Thanks in advance- Vic in SoCal

Its to get a little more clearance. Straight or bent links the axle will still move and react the same.

I agree with the previous poster, bent links are to gain additional clearance under the mid-section of the chassis. On 1:1 rigs, you typically will not see bent links as there generally is not enough clear space for up travel movement.
