What about all that mud riding I'm seeing on here. What is the best ESC/Motor combo for that. I already have a Novak SS and a LRP Sphere to put in one. I know neither one of those are water resistant. But on that same subject, is the Novak Crawler ESC WAAAAY better than the plain Novak SS for crawling and trail riding?

the novak crawler is ultimate, ultimate and expensive. for mud and water, MTroniks makes a waterproof esc that i see some guys using on here and on orcrc. if you are gonna be mud running then get a low turn motor with some fast gears (wheel speed is key). remember to clean out your motor.

Yeah dont buy the novak rooster crawler. Basically all it is is a xrs circuit bored with a heavier drag brake and new look. Thats what novak themselves said

Wrong. If you are going to bash a manufacturers product you should at least be sure that your claim is correct. It's not. Please show me where Novak said that.

That right there is a great combo. One thing I would reccomend is at least a 5645 or even a 5955 servo. The Goat esc has more than enough BEC current to feed those higher torque servos no problem. I would take advantage of that.

Thanks RPD.......check your orders from yesterday and you'll find out where I'm getting my AX-10 from. You guys are Novak distributors now? Do you know when you'll be getting the Goat combo in-stock?

Scorpion
Novak xrs sport
Spektrum DX3.0
JR 126mg servo
Integy 55T lathe motor

Thats just stuff I had laying around the house cept for the servo and motor and scorpion, so It will be really cheap for me, just the price of the kit and a battery, not sure witch one though

Holy crap!!! Did he at least kiss ya when ya left?
I paid $239 out the door and im up here in canuck land where nothing is cheap!!!

bjornnson.. Youre gonna love this crawler. The only I see that may cause you some grief is the Bluebird servo....Around here a few boys have had them and they just dont last....End points set and all they just didnt last...Maybe they were just flukes, but steered clear of them.
