they are 2 completely different types of trucks! scorpion : 2.2 wheels, 12.5" wheelbase, 3 link suspension, single gear transmission, made for ROCK CRAWLING.. the high lift : 1.9 wheels, 10"???? wheelbase, Leaf spring suspension, 3 speed tranny, made for trail running and small rocks don't get me wrong, the high lifts are a blast to drive around in the woods. and the scorpions will be a blast on the rocks.. all depends on what you got for running areas and what you will be doing most of the time.. a leaf sprung vehicle won't be able to go where the scorpion can, but the challange is 1/2 of the fun.... enjoy

I would. You can run the Scorpion as a comp rig or you could make a scale build out of it as well.

I would definently go with the scorpion. I had a hi-lift, just to pretty to take out and beat the brush with. I am going to get a scorpion myself. Just seems like a much more versatile rig. Which ever you use just have fun and hit the rocks. Crawlin rocks.

I own a high lift and soon a ax10. Like said they are 2 completly different trucks. Both are great at what they are built for. Scale looks-High lift, rock crawling/performance the Ax10. If I could only have 1 the Ax10 gets the nod by far on price alone.

You could always get the scx 10. It's kinda the best of both worlds.

You could put the Hi-Lift in a Scale Comp. If you want to do some serious rock crawling then you sould go with the Scorpion.
