After originally wanting to build a Scaler out of a Clodbuster, it turned out to be a 1:8 scale looking chassis. Performs well but too many mods to get it to where I could run with it. I am wondering if all the hype is for good reason. It must be. Even just looking at the parts breakdowns and a couple of vids that this crawler is Grrrrreat out of the box! A few modifications/fabrications without spending money or leaving the house is just fine with me. Is anyone having to buy/mod, buy/mod.? I've spent a whack o' cash building up the clod. I want to get a scaler. This looks to be the route. I've got a spektrum so I already have another reviever and a mediocre hi-torque servo that came with it. This just seems like the most economical kit to get...

Sound like you know the answer to your question. If you're still on the fence, just read some of the reviews from the guys that have already bought, built, and ran theirs.

Yeah. Your right. Its just when I got back into rc's again, I jumped all over the remake of the Clod. If I would have waited and did more research I would have done it differently. But then again, It crossed my eyes in the forum that alot of people have more than one truck/car. Thanks for pushing me over the fence.

I am using the axles and tranny for another build but I have been very impressed with the quality of the product. I definitely see this as being the all out replacement for the TLT platform.

Clods are amazing crawlers when built as supers. they are the reason i got into this sport after watching "mudcow" videos from austrailia 3+years ago, but after building one i found their downside is that i now have to drive somewhere to enjoy it and if i had that time my 1:1 crawler would get used more so i got into 2.2 last year, well 2 tlt's 2 wk's and now an ax10 later the clod only get driven to amaze friends
