Default Anyone using the Crawlmaster

The crawlmaster bolts up just fine to the tranny of the AX-10 but, when you use the stock 14tpinion and 87t spur gears, the motor sits to close to the tranny. This would be fine if it was a brushed motor, but seeing as it is a brushless outrunner, when the motor turns, it rubs against the tranny case. This is a big no-no!!! Will a bigger spur gear like a 93t solve the problem? Also, should I change to a bigger pinion gear as well. Any info would be awesome on what others are doing to solve this problem. THANKS

I had the same problem with the Scorpion 3014 - I just dremeled a little off the top screw sleve on the tranny and it was fine.

My son is dropping driveshafts with a 55 turn lathe motor. A crawlmaster would kill it!

I thought I read in the instructions that there was a "optional" outrunner plate you can buy? Would that solve the problem?? I was thinking of getting the Mamba Crawlmaster also... :-(

Doesn't matter - I wouldn't pay for a new plate with 5 seconds with a dremel fixes it.

the CrawlMaster has a standard 1" bolt pattern like any 540 can... the optional plate is for the smaller bolt patten brushless motors... the CM is a monster in size and performance... I'm using a 14t - 90t combo with no rubbing.... you will get some rubbing on the skid plate which is easy to fix with #4 washers between the tranny and skid.... no grinding needed

I'm bit new to the rock crawler and looking to get something easy to setup right now and do more changes later.

I think revolver might be choice for brushless motor over I was going for brush motor Integy 55T

How do you like the relovler? I'm planning to use with mamba max.

what is your battery setup? 6 cell or 8cell .....2500,3000?
