| 2007 Ultimate Adventure FJ Cruiser Build...
I decided to build a 2007 Ultimate Adventure FJ Cruiser... Utilizing: Axial AX10 Scorpion Nikko 1:10 FJ Cruiser hard body Motors - N/A Electronics - N/A Have yet to order a AX10, will do so after I spend the week working the Tri-State Fair & Rodeo... I went to my local Toys R' Us and purchased a radio control 1:10 blue Nikko FJ Cruiser. Trying to paint this body was a PITA... I tried 1shot with an airbrush - no good... Tried some other type of airbrush paint - No good... What ended up happening was I got some Krylon for plastic paint. Had to mix their green with their yellow. Then dumped that into the airbrush. Once dried shot it with some clear... Came out nice, but does need some touch up work. The white roof never came from the factory clean... So I will need to touch up some white and then spray the bumpers all black as opposed to black/silver-grey... The orange stripes are cut and ready to go. I am currently trying to figure out the correct sponsor's that were used on the 1:1. Especially the yellow decal that goes across the front hood. I sent out some emails and am awaiting for reply's... To be continued... |

I know it's just a detail, but that FJ was built for the 2006 Ultimate Adventure. They slapped a 4 door JK body on a CTD chassis for the 2007 UA.

I'm still having a horrible time figuring out what all sponsor decals are actually on the 1:1... I did send out some emails to Petersen's ( who actually built the Ultimate Adventure FJ Cruiser), but have yet to hear anything back. Worse come to worse I will use some logos from popular brands locally including one of my favorite client/friend - Torn...

I didn't realize that the real rig was so tall. This is going to be a killer build. |

These are in fact the correct sponsors: On the rear quarter is Yukon Gear & Warn (top two) and Hobart Welders & Poison Spider Customs (lower two). On the rear door from the top down is All-Pro Offroad, Eaton, Fab Fours, Slee Offroad, and Tuff Country. On the front door from front to back is Dynatrac Axles, Flowmaster Exhaust, and Offroad Design. On the front fender is BF Goodrich. The yellow strip on the hood is the only thing I haven't found anything on....since the original color of the truck was yellow, maybe they left some showing through there for some reason. Hope this helps... |

| http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showt...=484988&page=2 That link has some good pics looks like: BFGoodrich Dynatrac Flowmaster Poison Spyder customs Warn Slee offroad Tuff Country Eaton Fab Fours offroad design All Pro (I think) I know they were involved Hobart Welders And there's one more I can't quite make out. It looks like a shield and it's right above the Hobart logo. It might be a map? Hope this helps! Can't wait to see the final version! EDIT: Looks like I got beat! My research took too long! |

Got a lot of the sponsors done... These are also CUT vinyl decals, not printed onto clear. Talk about a PITA to cut & weed..! Edit: Had to modify some of the sponsors logo's as they were just WAY to small to cut/weed... Last edited by WVB; 09-12-2007 at 05:50 PM. |

| Is it too late to change that lower BGF logo to a dynatrac logo? Or did you intend for it to be BFG?
