Default Got a Vanquish chassis. Any setup recommendations????

Hey guys,
I just bought a Vanquish Incision pro chassis, and DNA dig and a set of Hot bodies rover tires.
Just wondering if anyone with the same chassis has any recommendations on link lengths/which holes to put shocks and links into?

I have a 4 link rear end and the lipo/servo mounted on the front axle. Also have 3 meters of 8mm Delrin rod so i can make links.

If anyone has any suggestions, that would be great,

Alex

Thanks,
yeah, i just spotted that while searching through. I will go with the same links length as you to start. Are you happy with it? It's like a 60/40 setup hey? I'll have to upgrade my shocks as i only have the stock plastic ones.

I setup my LS2.0 60/40, but the incision felt better 50/50

Yes, I am very pleased with the setup.

I really recommend the axial 72-103 comp shocks. A lot of people have cheaper alternatives, like traxass, but the axials are well worth it. I've beat the crap out of my first set and they are still as plush as day one. never leak at all. Use the delrin piston and you'll have no side play at all. I run them on both my comp rigs.

Good luck!! keep us posted

This is off the page 3 of your thread:

Lengths are eye to eye

Upper Front: 85mm

Upper Rear: 98mm

Lower Front: 104mm

Lower Rear: 115mm

Steering Link: 106mm

Drag Link: 20mm

Is this what you run on your incision at the moment? Is the chassis symetrical front to rear? Just wondering why your lengths are different unless you changed again since these ones

Whoops! Glad you noticed that so i could update it. Correct link lengths are on page 1. I updated page 3. Those links are on my Mayhem LS2.0
Here are current incision lengths:

Upper Ft - 91.5mm
Upper Rr - 90mm

Lower Ft - 125mm
Lower Rr - 126mm

One question with the axle side. On this thread:
Vanquish Products Incision Shafty Build
The motor is on the right (drivers side) with the steering axle at the front and the spur gear on the steering axle side. This is what i have done which is opposite to the standard axial chassis.

but, on this thread:
VP Incision Chassis
The motor is on the left, and spur gear at the rear of the chassis. This is how the ax10 was stock.....

Any benifit to either. I have done the top way. is this ok? do i need to switch it around? I do have a DNA dig on the way if that makes any difference

thanks
Alex

The way the Dig mounts requires you to flip the tranny like that. It also puts the weight of motor on the front right side where you need it the most. The extra weight up there helps fight torque twist.
Remember that you will need to reverse your motor wires with the flip
