Haven't got much done on this truck yet. Still need to decied which shocks to use. Hopefully I can get it to crawl as good as the one in the background.

Sweet RX...Is the wheelbase the same as the TLT???And are those the same links??? Now I know your secret to success...I smoked those for years and they always made me feel good, but now since I quit I hate everybody... |

Yes the links are the same as my TLT GC-1 revo pushrods. The wheelbase should end up around 12.5, haven't measured it yet. But rcxj ran a simular set-up at nationals.

having the top links parallel and the lower links triangled or is having it the other way around better. I thought that having both upper and lower triangled with the points opposite of eachother. Example Upper< lower> |

The GC-1 seems to work well with the upper parallel to the ground and to each other. and the lower links triangled. No axle swing and VERY little torque twist.

Nice Joey. I'll keep an eye on this one. I got a couple of guyz here that want to do this to their GC1's.

Hey Joey I have had good success using the stock shocks on my wifes AX-10. As long as you dont over fill them they will work fine. But to much oil and it will blow the cap off. You may want to limit them though, they are a bit long. Im also using some AE green and silver springs. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXBVG0&P=7 |

Yeah I filled ours to just below the rim. You will know if they have to much. They will be very stiff. |

fill up the shocks with the shafts compressed. That way you won't have problems when the shaft compresses and displaces the shock oil. Just my .02.

| shock mounts
how did you connect your shocks to the axels? it looks like the shocks are mounted on the outside of the mounts or something??

I got the shocks from JP Customs, they are shorter than the stock AX-10 shocks and longer than Traxxas Big Bores. The lower links are mounted to the inside and the shocks are mounted to the outside of the stock link/shock mount closest to the wheels.

Now when you say, "drives a lot like", do you mean the same, a little better or a little worse? I'm in the process of swapping my TLT axles for AX10 axles on my GC-1 and wanted to get a pro's opinion. I'm hoping the AX10 axles will prove tougher than the TLTs. |

It's a little worse, but that is only because of the shocks. I need to mess with their mounting on the chassis, right now they are binding a little. Once I get the shocks worked out it should be better than the TLT axles (more clearance under the axle). | |
