Default help with intitial mamba max settings on stock scorpion

am wondering what you guys would recommend..?

i am using a 55T integy brushed motor with 2S 2000 li-po's

this is the first time i have used my mamba max in anything other than a boat, so i am of course wholly ignorant on setting up brakes, etc..

any help would be appreciated..

thanks!

Here is what I am running with close to the same setup. I run a 1900mah lipo. Shouldn't make any differance.

Forward to Brake to Reverse
Brake Amount: 0% doesn't matter w/reverse on

Reverse Amount: 100%
Punch Control: 0%
Drag Brake:100% but you will only be getting 40% drag brake with a brushed motor.
Start Power: High
Motor Timing: Normal to Low helps motor longevity/keeps motor cool
Throttle & Brake curves: try stock! I have started adjsting mine and playing with it.

Battery: Lipo cutoff auto

ah....i see..i was thinking just like he was..it should be called "expo" not "punch"..! i am gonna call joe ford at Castle and yell! hahahah

i have to deal with the foams and tires problem first, then i can continue on my trek to perfect setting on the MM..

thanks for that link!

now to start searching to find a "dummies guide to cutting foams" hopefully with some pictures for my dumb ass..!

expo and punch are different items. Punch control actually deadens your finger input a bit, making the ramp up of throttle take longer.

I would add in 100% braking. If you go downhill and hit reverse you could flip or lose control. With 100% brakes it will wait until the wheels stop before reversing. It also saves battery power to use brakes instead of reverse throttle to slow down.

Hey Birdie, if you find the dummies guide to cutting foams, let me know. I need some help as well. I am running same setup as you, all I have left to build are the tires. Anybody out there want to give us some ideas???

there is about 10000 references to cutting foams...i am still weeding thru them to figure out what the hell to do, at least the easy way so i won't kill any more foams..

i am afraid that i have destroyed these.. :(

I have my motor timing set on high with 2cell 4000 lipo and ran it for 45min without it hardly getting warm. Just my experience not debating.
