Default "Hawaiian Gopher" a.k.a. "The Mongoose"

In Hawaii we don't have any Gophers. This tube chassis is the only one I've ever seen in real life. But we do have Mongoose, so I thought I'd change the name to give the build a personal touch.

A quick parts list:
AX-10 Axles with lots of goodies (RCP Knuckles, Cs, and Straight Axle Adapters)
Gopher Chassis
Holmes Hobbies Crawlmaster (Original)
Mamba Max
MPI Non-adjustable Voltage Regulator
Hitec HS-5645 MG Steering Servo
Hitec HS-645 MG Dig Servo
R2D with a 10 tooth Pinion
Holmes Hobbies 8 cell Battery pack (Elite 1500)
TCS Axle Battery Mount Plates
GPM 4 inch Shocks (I got them off of a Goliath GRC kit.) set up for droop with 100 wt oil and RCP internal springs.
RCP Aluminum Servo Mounts
Custom 1/4 inch lower links
Kydex Skid Plate
MSD Bead Locks
Kreepy Narrow Red Foams
Losi Rock Claws

Specs:
Wheelbase: 12.5"
Track Width: 10.25"
Weight: 6.5 lbs.
Ground Clearance: 2.25" at ride height 3.5" at full droop

Here's a couple teaser pics. I'm going to break it down this week, make new upper links, a hood and mount the speed control under the hood. I'll post more pics later.

Very nice mix of parts there. I love the bling of the frame. What brand of shocks are those?

Body.....I mean the rig looks good

This thing looked good at the GTG at Kaena Point, but looks like you found a better crawl spot

Those are GPM 4 inch Shocks from a PTI GRC kit.

Zip ties can be fun, but they're just temporary until I find permanent mounting places.

Thanks for the compliments guys

I'll take some pics of just the truck tonight. I know the background is a little distracting.

I'm going to use 6/32 all thread and sleeve it with the 1/4 aluminum rod for the uppers as well. The same as the lowers.

Awesome background..................

I was wondering were the crawler was. Then I looked alittle harder at the picture and noticed that the crawler was actually in the picture, too.

Nice pics, however remember that there are YOUNG KIDS that look at this site. Maybe put them as attacements with Adult Only advisors. Don't mean to sound "Prudeish" but I am a parent and personally don't want my kids seeing these types of pics.
