Diff locker stripped As the title says, I stripped the rear diff locker today. Is anyone using any other locker? I saw a good looking wheely king locked ring and pinion set on RCP. Any suggestions? Thanks. |
The crawler store sells new lockers for it there $ 9.99 each order a new one |
A friend and I both ordered a set of these, hope they work well. Lots of people locally have been stripping the stocks and I would rather not be changing them out. http://rc4wdstore.com/product_info.php?products_id=697 |
Be careful. I was told wheely king lockers work. THEY DONT. I purchased some WK lockers and discovered they do not work, HOWEVER you can buy WK dif buckets for 5$ and have bullet proof lockers. Maximizer makes some real nice lockers. |

Did you use the Maximizer locker in the AX10 diff bucket and it did not fit? I ordered the Maximizer locker, should I get the wheely king diff bucket or use the AX10? Thanks."thumbsup" |
I put the Maximizer Locker in the AX10 diff bucket. It only took a little bit of work with the Dremel to make it fit. The locker is sooooo muck nicer than the stock AX10 locker. A must upgrade for anyone with an AX10 IMO. "thumbsup" |
I haven't stripped one yet. So hopefully this will prevent it from happening. Drilled and tapped 4 holes for 4-40 set screws. Blue loctite and tightened them down on the shafts. And assembled. I'll see in the long run if it works. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...e/IMG_0241.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...e/IMG_0242.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...e/IMG_0243.jpg |
