Default My AX-10 X-Trail

Hey guys thought I would post up my AX10 build

Well we all know what it looks like to build out of the box thanks to a couple topics here already... So I wont bore you all with that lol... Anyways she started out as a normal ax10 which I bashed for awhile then decided to build a scaler thanks to the X-TRAIL chassis... Onto the pics

Parts as it stands now:
Axial AX-10 Scorpion Rock Crawler
Integy 55t lathe motor
Mamba Maxx ESC
MG995 Servo
DX3
Junfac Beadlocks

How it looked at the start:

And how it stands now with droop shocks and X-Trail chassis:

New body is in the post aswell as a waterproof esc for mudding I soooooooo can't wait hahaha... I'll get some outdoor shot for ya's in the next couple days

Cheers.

I have a Dodge Ram body on the way which I hope to customize a fair bit hahaha hope it looks ok... If not this body will do for now...

Went for a run through Sweeney's Reserve (Local Park) this arvo... Ran outta battery (only a 3800 half charge) before I got to check it all out... There is a couple of major hill climbs which I wanna try next weekend, looks like they may be challenging All pics were driven into and out off even if i needed reverse on some... No poser shots here hahaha

P.S. I think my trucks in love with trees lmfao

sweet looking.. I got same one too but I'm using to build my scale using TLT axle. I may buy one more and convert my AX10 too.. how is the articulation changes? looks like travel on axle is short now?

my recent mod is RC4WD parts

Thats pretty much full artic. now... still crawls pretty darn good...

Just worked out that my axle was tilted to far forward so i moved the bottom links and bought the axle back 'vertical' so now it should handle alot better... no more 4metre turning circles... lol Also that caps just started popping on the standard shocks, any suggestions? I'm looking at the big bores at the moment... What length should i be looking for? cheers.

Ok guys got some 2.2 slingers on the way to replace those rock lizards Cant wait to see thed difference My quesion is however, I have been runningthe lizards on junfac beadlocks with no foams and they seem to be airtight, even when i squeeze em... I have noticed that they bounce a few bit when tration is lost... So any suggestions on how I should run the new slingers? 1/18" hole into the rim? or into the tread of the tyre? and run foams? I am gonna be running this through mud and water as well as normal dirt/rock tracks... Any suggestions would be great, Thanks.

Jaymz: Sweet rig......hey get the RCP straight axle adapters, it'll make the rear axle look more realistic , plus get rid of alot of play in the axle.Keep up the great work....
