I got a sneak peak of the panels tonight. I am going to go with the top center and the bottom left. One will go on the WK and I will use the other set to cover up my PeeWee.... |

No need to order tires, the cut n' shut Mashers are done, turned out real clean! Just need to mount 'em. A couple more upper links and some electronics and you'll be set. |

Well I picked up the PeeWee last night from the Dinky RC Shop. When I got there Matt was just finishing up a couple minor details. I had brought the TCS Boomerang for the rear and servo mount for the front to convert the stock suspension setup to a 4-link. Muddauber quickly replaced the temporary aluminum versions he had fabricated with the Delrin versions. Muddauber7 also reduced and narrowed the new set of Proline Masher 2k's that I dropped off for the project. I had the stock wheels from my High Lift that I decided to use for the time being. The tires look amazing, I have never seen a set of custom tires done so well, you can not see a single seem anywhere one the tire (sidewall included)! A quick panel was made for the rear for a temporary electronics mounting position. We knew that mounting a standard battery pack was going to be an issue but I knew an easy solution. I called TCS last night and had some Delrin axle Battery mounts and a 6 cell split pack added to my order. http://www.tcscrawlers.com/TCS-Axle-...h-p-16524.html http://www.tcscrawlers.com/TCS-6-cel...n-p-16619.html For a quick fix we zip tied my 6-cell 2/3a pack to the front of the chassis and headed outside. With the stock WK electornics this little thing flies around, four wheel burnouts were not a problem. Then it was time to see if it could crawl. On the Dinky RC Indoor course it handled some impressive terrain with ease. It was already dark out so the area we had to crawl on was limited. Matt pointed me to some lines that he was interested to see the PeeWee attempt so that he could compare to previous vehicles he had tested on the same path. The rig handled everything I threw at it. The only thing that seemed to be a problem was the catch point where the bottom links and the chassis have seperation. This can be easily fixed in a couple of ways. I was WAY too busy playing with the rig to take pictures last night but I will get some tonight when I get home (or maybe over lunch with my phone). Thanks for reading this far, I will fill in with some pictures soon. |

I took some quick pictures tonight when I got home. It is already freaking dark when I get home so I had to take quick pics indoors. She is a runner but probably only about 75% complete, now all thats left is the detail stuff. It will only get better from here! |

| They are the soft springs off of the 60mm shocks, I am using the 80mm shocks. It gives it a different look, I like it. It doesn't limit travel and the springs are not under any compression at full droop.

WOW The protective coating is still on the hood and side panels (not the roof). I still have to figure out the combo of panels I am going to use. I also have to choose a color soon |

| I would not count on it, these are not simple projects. There maybe a couple options but that is a COMPLETE guess right now. When they are available you will see them posted |

I am thinking that I am going to paint the panels a gun metal metalic. I am going to send the frame back to Dinky RC soon (maybe this weekend) for the skid plate mod that I did on the WK Gopher. Then since I think both Gophers need to get powder coated the same color (probably gun metal as well). This rig also needs some new rims, so now I just need to decide which ones to go with............or have made. | |
