| Rear steer kit wrong parts
I just bought the rear steer kit today but got some wrong parts. In my kit I am missing four (4) part AXA186 M3x16 Set screws, but I do have though four (4) part AXA1186 O-rings from the shocks that are obviously not needed. Looks like someone read the wrong part # when they assembled the kit. Anyone else run into the same issue? Just sent an email to Axial, hopefully they will send me the correct parts. |

So what you are saying is that you are missing x2 16mm long screws.....? That's about 27 cents at the hardware store, or rummage through your spare parts bin and dig up some screws.

As this is a new part to hit the stores I'm wondering if Axial has a major issue on their hands. If the same person that packed my bag did the same for every bag they have a big problem. Either they read the wrong part# or the build sheet when they assemble the kit has the wrong #. While I agree the parts cost is probably minimal but the kit costs enough that I shouldn't have to spend more time/money to fix the issue.

for example, in my Scorpion kit i got the War Wagon body (Nitro version) with Betty decals and 3 sets of AX80005 (6 body mounts). as with all manufacturing, quality depends on what the workers are being paid.

its not the worker who designed their parts system..which obviously has a problem..id bet this wouldnt of happened if the set-screw pn was AXA0186 Mr taguchi ,the designer of 6sigma70 to 80% of all quality problems are design related |

I talked to Axial today it it is exactly what i thought. ALL rear steer kits went out with the wrong parts in them, I guess somebody didn't proof read the parts list too well. They are trying to get as many back from distribution as possible and are sending out corrects parts to endusers who request them.

Screw ups happen. Call Axial's support and they will help you out. Sometimes you might learn that being the first to have something isn't always the best. I buy Losi race stuff often and even they screw up. A missing part is a bummer, but in the world of production and assembly believe me it happens.

I'm happy with my kit, I bought so many upgrades that it's hard to miss anything. My kit was complete. The Gooch |

Im totally stoked on my AX10.... I just think with the price we all paid for the rear kit, We should expect it to be right! For what I got....I wish I could get my money back and I'd make my own set up!

While it was a pain having the wrong parts the correct ones arrived in the mail today from Axial. That's pretty good customer service.

Yeah,I also ordered the kit and was short the same screws. I ordered from http://www.ckrccrawlers.com/shop/ind...ain_page=index and they pretty much told me I was on my own. I emailed customer support at Axial twice and havent heard from anyone.

That a pretty danged expensive kit that you'd need to go to the hardware store to finish it. Axial needs to make it right no matter how minor the issue is. |
