Finished my 2.2 chassis...

Well, after a couple weeks of design and alot of CAD drawing I finally spent some time this weekend and put all my design efforts to the presses...Have a look see.

The chassis definetely takes some design cues from other well known chassis, but with some revisions of my own. And, I just like makin my own stuff.

-1/8" 6061 aluminum side plates
-3/8" delrin baseplate (courtesy of uncle sam ;) )
-its pretty narrow at 2.5" wide and extremely lite!

How did you cut it, by hand, mill?

TURBOFEST 12-24-2007 11:07 AM

Thanks, from you thats a great compliment.

I used the usual homebuilt crap...band saw, drill press, some lathe work for the cross braces and alot of dremeling and filing for clean up.

Work In Progress...

Thanks guys!!

Heres a couple updates...

I made some servo plates / 4 link upper mounts and some threaded rod "mock up" links just to get the lengths I need. The plates came out good and it articulates very nicely...not too much, not to little...just right!

I only have one axle built..lol
