Just received mine today, and man does it look great. This tuber is going to work out really nice. Thanks again for the panels. A little tip to anyone who purchases the Proto Skids for their Edge: The side holes on the Proto skids are not pre drilled for you, you will need to do this yourself. I put my skid into the Edge chassis, the fit was a little snug so it kinda held it in place. I then used I clamp to tighten it up a bit more and used the Chassis's hole to pilot the ones I drilled in the skid. They turned out perfect. Just thought I would pass that on to help anyone that may have problems with this. Thanks again for another nice product! |

Got Mine Today, and Assembled it. Once I make my body panels, I'll mount the electronics. |

| Need advice on " The EDGE" build??? Hello guys, Received my EDGE last night and assembled. However, I am having an issue with my shock cap binding on the upper mounts? I have already popped the cap to the point it's un-useable. I tried mounting on the outside and inside but for some reason the caps are too close to the frame. Anyone have a pic of how they mounted theirs. I used the screws that came in the hardware kit. At articulation the shock caps are binding causing the axles not come back to the ground???if that makes sense.....thanks. Using stock AX10 shocks w/internal springs.......Help the rain stopped and wanna run this puppy.......... |

| yup same way.
Thanks for the pics, yup I did the same. You see where the cap just barely clear the side of the frame, when I cycle the suspension (articulation) it binds up there, not really the mount........thanks

The shocks are meant to be put on the inside of the chassis in the stock configuration (links towards the outside at the axle). If you start modifying things, such as putting the lower links inboard at the chassis, you will need to do some thinking about what is going to work best for you.

Looks good Les, I painted my panels blue as well... now I am wishing I would have done red so it would have been a little different. Still waiting on mine to dry, the cold damp weather has slowed the process quite a bit. I tried installing my Traxxas Big Bores and found a slight problem. Due to the shocks being a little shorter, the nose of the tuber hits the servo on full compression. I'm kinda wishing the nose bent up rather than down because I like the Big Bores better than the stockers. May try to heat up rod with a torch and try to bend it up, not sure if that will work to well though. |
